I'll add my support to whoever wishes to model this airplane. The more British bombers we get, the merrier. I am getting tired of shooting down ( I mean escorting
) the same old Blenheims and land-lease ACs. The Beaufort is one of the RAF types we need the most, the Med being kind of empty without Beauforts to escort (or shoot down
)
Now, I'm not a 3D modeller and have no experience of making new aircraft, but from these pics and drawings, its looks like this could be relatively easily exported from the Blenheim (like the real aircraft) perhaps even frankened with good results ?
Cheers
Nico

Nah R-1830's matey, Pratt and Whitney Twin Wasp.
@Porco: love the "or shoot down" part hehehe. I have a rather boring job so have plenty of time to envision myself in one sinking some japanese shipping, but yeah sorely missing from the Med as well. I thought about bringing up the frankenplane idea, but as with you, my modding abilities are zero,zip,zilch and SFA
@Studly:Now we just need said modder... I looked at the price of 3dmax and I dont know who had the bigger coranary, me, my wallet or my missus roflmao.

This is a real beaut waiting to happen. I must agree this would be a great add - it flew the Channel, the Med and the Pacific.
And incidentally Porco Rico - though this may be common knowledge, it doesn't seem to have been said ; the Beaufighter was a progeny of the Beaufort, and not just conceptually. Part of the fuselage, tail and wings were taken directly from the Beaufort production line to make the Beaufighter, so in fact some of the structure (and DMs thereby) is actually the same.
I'd love to see her in the game.
very sincerely,
Kopfdorfer
