I remember that Battle of Belgrade but I am not sure is it solo mission or campaign and I think it is called 6. April 1941

Tmavomodry (Dark blue World) is a great fighter pilot movie. I never heard about it until mangas_rus told me about it. Now I have the DVD and love just listening to the music.
Have 2 missions built on the winter slovakia map. This is the first time I've actually flown on this map and I must say it's gorgeous. The guys that made this map really did some amazing work. Even the smallest villages are populated with objects very well. Slovakia deserves to have more done with it!
Have depicted buildup of forces in preparation for the coming offensive with vehicle and tank convoys moving on roads to the front. Flying patrol missions to discourage Stukas from attacking front line villages hiding the buildup. Got in a dogfight with Focke-wulfes and blasted the wing off one but got my wing damaged by his wingman. So I dove down and headed for home. I flew low over liberated villages getting help from friendly AAA. Was exhilerating flying through the mountain valleys trying to avoid the FW. I feared getting blasted during a landing attempt but the FW turned away, probably low on fuel. Whew!
A map of Moravia is a good request. Perhaps whomever made Slovakia would do this as well?
Appreciate the comments about Battle for Odessa. I plan to do part 2 some day. Was thinking about doing missions for the first Sturmovik unit there as the Romanians closed in around Odessa.

I have completed 8 missions for the campaign I'm working on. These can be flown in La-5FN or IL-2 type 3.
Until now, I have had only very short descriptions of the Battle and so I had to recreate it in my mind as to how the events took place... Until today when I found the above mentioned website. It helps to google!
The missions I've made so far have actually come close to what actually happened! it's funny how you can look at the terrain on a map and see which defensive positions the Germans may have used. I've made ground battles for Strba, Hradok, and Okolicne... same events that actually happened!
BUT... The Red Army forces in these battles actually had NO air force to help them and NO armor. And the Germans, I believe, had not much armor.
I have made missions with many airplanes and armor battles so this is not historical but it does add to the "playability" in the IL2 sim.
I will need to go back and adjust some things like front line markers but it won't be too much trouble.

I wished we had an Ostrava map - we could have two campaigns - one with La-5FN for the 1st Czechoslovak Fighter Air Regiment, the other with Il-2s of the 3rd Czechoslovak Bomber Air Regiment.

I requested for Farang to get a Moravia map started for me. You can see a pic of the map area in the WIP Maps Discussion: Mapping Madness. Also requested the Caucasus. I was hoping some of you real Czechs would make the map. You know more about the place than we do :wink:
