from READMEQuote:OPEN MIG FOLDER,LOCATED IN YOUR MODS FOLDER,
LOCATE SAMPLES FOLDER ,DELEAT ALL THE WAVS IN THERE AND REPLACE WITH THE NEW ONES IN MY RAR.
LOCATE THE PRESETS FOLDER, OPEN IT AND THEN OPEN THE SOUNDS FOLDER , DELEAT ALL THE PRS AND REPLACE WITH THE NEW ONES IN MY RAR.
DO THE ABOVE ALSO FOR THE SABRE.
THANKS TO PETER.D AND MONGUSE......
Neither my MiG or Sabre folders (C>IL2>Mods>MiG15/XP86) have sound files in them. Instead they (and the rest of my sounds) are in C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\Files\Samples and C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\Files\presets\sounds..........Should I put the new sounds in the Mods folder or the Files folder?
For gawds sake man , they are a pre mig and sabre release , trust me when peter lets his jets out the read me will make more sence....
Meh
Thanks for the response. I could do w/o the condescension, though

Guys... Just download this file and hold onto it.. PeterD's F86 and Mig15 ARE NOT YET RELEASED but they will be at any moment.. once you install the UI 1.2 package, and 3.9 this will make a lot more sense.. for now, just DL it and leave the folder on your desktop.
I'd also recommend you do a fresh install of IL2 4.08M then install the UI 1.1 patch to it.. because very soon you will have a UI 1.2 to load on top of it..

excellent stuff !! far out the best piece of video I've seen.
forgive my ignorance, but these weren't "untouched" ingame graphics, right?

With buttons 3.9 you can then use the sounds numpty's  Which comes with Ui 1.2, which wont be long so hang on. and 4.09 will be out in a week or so wait.

Most of the current jets use the motor.Jumo004.prs file so I made a copy of it removed the contents of it
and copied the contents of the motor.J-47.prs file into it. I then copied the samples for the J-47 into the Samples folder and i have now got some pretty cool jet sounds in game.
