I've got virtually no pitch control with the Sabre. Roll and yaw are fine, but pulling back or pushing forward does next to nothing. Seems controls got mixed up with trim settings. Mig flies perfectly fine though. :???:

Lefty Hartnett Wrote:Question:
Can I simply auto-install these over the previous Mig and Sabre AC or do I need to remove the old ones?
Answer: Since the directions clearly stated to install UI 1.2 over a CLEAN INSTALL of 4.08M/UI 1.1 there can't be any "old" planes to remove right?
When you decide to not follow the directions and introduce 1000 unknown variables to your installation don't be surprised if things don't go smoothly. I read a comment in another thread where the poster was angry that UI 1.2 was "causing" problems with the modified buttons file he decided to install.

Uzin Wrote:Just tried to install Sabre similarly as MiG, see above. Installation was O.K., but the bird has impossibly wrong FM (even autopilof cannot fly it , even airborne), either there is something wrong with buttons, or the d/l is corrupted?
Could you record a couple of .NTRKs and mail them to me? That's definitely very weird

Ok I found the problem to the Sabre issues *facepalm*

No facepalms Peter, you put the "beta" tag on there so you get a free pass.. Mine seems to be working ok actually although the 15bis really outclasses the A5.. hopefully a late model E or even better, an F model will be made.. the F-40 and the bis were for the most part very comparable AC in terms of speed, ceiling etc.

No believe me... of all the mistakes I could have made, this is the most annoying of all, since it will need a new buttons file :x
The sabre IS underpowered at the moment because it's using the wrong engine, because I sent the wrong files to Monguse. *facepalm again*

Oops.
Well, I can still do over 700 MPH in a dive and not rip the wings off. That's cool.

Peter,
check your e-mail, there should be *.trk files you requested.
Fix for SAS Buttons and D-86A-5 - Dreamk - 15.10.2009
This is the fix for those using SAS buttons and the new F-86A-5.
Just copy this file in your F-86A-5 directory, replacing the original hashed java file of same name.

If you don't mind, put this stuff in a different thread please, I'd like to keep this one for the aircrafts' issues only

I have posted this fix here in answer to the posts of Grumpy, Elephant and Uzin in this same thread (see on page 1).

That's cool. Maybe it'll be easier for everyone if you start a new thread for SAS specific stuff and just link that thread from here though.

Phew... false alarm.
Everything is fine, it's just that I wasn't fully awake. People using AAA's Unified Installer 1.2 should have no performance issues (the Sabre is using the correct engine after all)

Do we know what the structural limit speed of the F86A5 was? I know it was supersonic capable in a dive, but I dove from 10K and couldn't damage it although it got to 1400kph.

Thank you very much, the fix works excellently at my Il2 installation.
All the best for you.
