cant really tell in this picture but these are functional cowl flaps to let air flow to the battery compartment

I cut the canopy off because I didnt like the way it was turning out

Looking good, General- are you building this from a kit, or just from plans? Anyway, like the exhaust stacks and nose, and Im glad you cut the canopy off. Can you get a perspex one?

Hey thunda

No this is strictly scratch built from my own plans as sclae as i could get them.

This is a prototype to how well it will fly before i go all out on it, hope fully by then i can get the

information from the smithsonian, they have the the original blueprints for the P-40Q and its about $35.

as far as the canopy goes i may end up molding my own or the P-47 canopy is really close so i might try that route

there was only one made in 2 variants and it was known as the "Winterhawk"
