Thanks, I'll give it a try.

Ok, I've replaced the annoying files with blanks, so all you have to do is install the new download in your mods folder.

See top of thread for the link.

This has me intrigued, CY6...in all my years of IL2, I have yet to hear any such complaint coming from crew/gunners.
Do they actually ever make these complaints? Do you know which wav files they use?

Really? I've heard them many times, especially when flying planes with a single backseat gunner like the il-2. It might be nation-specific - I've heard it more from Russian gunners, and I don't think I've heard Americans do it.

This was one of the things people asked me to fix when I first mentioned this mod...

The .wav is:

Look_out_stop_that_or_no.wav

also,

Damn_what_are_you_doing.wav might be one as well, although this might relate more to keeping formation...

ahhhh....the files you mention do sound familiar, after all....i just never actually equated them to doing heavy manouevres in a plane. i thought i only heard those if i shot at a friendly. i'll check it out, thanks mate. Big Grin 8)

2.0 works perfectly, thanks a lot !!!! Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

Edit: i just had to dig into the files myself, i love to. I saw that if you replace only the "first, second, ......sixteenth" with blanks and leave the "one, two,............, sixteen" intact, the chatter says randomly the indicative, or directly the sentence, for example:

-"one, good kill"
-"good kill he's going down"
-"break right !"
-"someone get him off me"
-"seven, return to base"

and so on...

just test, you may enjoy it as i do Smile

Edit: i did not test it fully in landing pattern, maybe for actor 4 (tower) it's better to get both indicatives replaced by blanks.

Thanks Checkyersix, I love this mod. Big improvement. I tried it with a big dogfight USAAF vs Luftwaffe, 50+ airplanes. It was great. A long time ago I replaced the bomber greeting with a blank .wav file because I got so sick of it. This is waaaay better than before. Thanks again.
