The last part is an English colloquial expression- "To light a fire under one's ass" meaning to force someone into action. In this case, some of the changes made to the sim by the team have been based on ideas generated by the modding community.

I see... Well to be fair, all of these ideas have been presented at UBI forums long long time ago, so I see is no reason to elevate modding community above the general community.

Hi, Viikate
Thanks for your part in this. However, please remember that searching literally hundreds of thousands of pages of Topic in many IL-2 community websites would leave us no time to chat in Forums such as this. To make sure that an issue has never been covered is generally impractical when it comes to simple socializing at AAA.
The people and the relationships are far more important than avoiding redundancy. Yes, we can all do a better job, but we must strive to have vision of the big picture.
This is my humble opinion.
I wish you well, comrade.

Hi,
Everything has a cost. It might not be in money. The cost might be in time, attention, relationships, equipment, creativity, etcetera.
IL-2 Society progress costs all of us, to different degrees. The leaders, of which I am not, spend much more time, labor, and money than we do-all to benefit everybody.
Progress requires change. We are building for the future a Society of simulation enthusiasts who will expand the interest in World War Two aviation, and aviation in general.
The desirable projects will rise to become creme. The inferior will eventually become dregs. This is the evolution of modding combat flight simulation.
The individual can do anything he wants with his IL-2. As my squadron commander says, once in a while: " Lead, follow, or get out the way. " I do not want to be one to hinder progress.
We are simply discussing these issues. All is well because this is what we need to develop-both personally and as a community. As one of my squadron mates says, " It's about communication. "
Thank you, RAF 209_Benge, for giving me an excuse to address this.

I am a follower of HSFX 4.1 because of unity, simplicity-especially online, and I just don't have time to take from creative work merely to install, reinstall, test, redownload, test, wait, start the process again, wait, test, start from the beginning, etcetera. Jumping on the band wagon works for me only if the tunes are fine. Hopping like a rabbit, frog, locust-whatever-is not sound reasoning.
This is why I agree with the major leaders of the communiteeeez that HSFX 4.1
is the unifying system.

The expression "light a fire under your ass" does not mean to give you an idea, but to move you from idea to implementation. It is not derogatory.
