Oh that would suck!
If true 4.09m may be the last official update for me! In that once you go 6DOF you can't go back!
I can live without the few improvments they are adding like the joystick stuff, neat but not necessary
And just not willing to give up all the mods here for that and a map and 2 or 3 planes
Which brings up a related subject
SOW I will buy as soon as it comes out
But it will be a long time before IL2 comes off the HD for SOW, if ever

The last TD patch was not compatible with mods either.
My guess, and its only a guess, is that v4.10 will need to be installed over an un-modded v4.09. So in that sense it is not mod compatible. HSFX and UP2.0 will both need compatibility patches. This is nothing new.
Wait for its release before raising scare stories.

Yes, asheshouse, this is plausible. I feel that I should add that it makes sense for TD to leave the compatibility issues to the communities, since the ball will be put in their hands, so to speak.

Pretty interesting words coming from a modding site. Isn't all modifications here done without permission from the original authors? So you wouldn't call this stealing?
BTW: the Swordfish & Fulmar authors are full & 3rd party members of TD, so where you you see stealing in this scenario?

It's obvious to me that all the major parties involved are at least tolerating one another. There are leaders which have taken the initiative to combine things in the past, as we know. To me, combining things which are free is not stealing, especially when a status of tolerance is already evident.
This is the integration that I sometimes mention in my posts at AAA.
