I drove a tank once. I blame it for configuring my mind asuch: to turn left on a tank you give power to the right track. Push the right stick forward in effect. However, to turn left on an aircraft, I tend to kick the right rudder pedal forward. Not condusive to proper flying... :S
On the other hand, I lack rudder pedals or even z axis control on my joystick. I can give full left or right rudder cos I configured several of the buttons on the joystick to do so but that's it. For me, rudder is less important as a result.
