Also the transparency-antialiasing that apparently doesn't work anymore on frames/glass of canopies from external view? This looks like a different problem isn't it?
to have no graphics problems in il21946 you need:
- propher game version
- correct conf.ini settings
- best nvidia driver for game (which isnt the latest imho)
- propher nvidia control panel settings
- latest graphics.dll
- a modpack without bugs (...)
Imho its almost impossible not to make one mistake somewhere
In my own install I spent considerable time to finetune everything but still got problems, mostly shadow related stuff.
Even with these minor errors, its still a great game...

I agree to some extent. Still have this darn flickering, BUT: After doing a real installation and forum-read DANCE, I am happy with having it at all with all those nice mods.
It is from having a not working basic IL-2 1946 install to having a slightly buggy kick ass HSFX4.1(1) install.
I should be lucky!
And the text corruption was indeed cured with the latest Ati driver (10.5).
PS: Anyone an idea why most of my maps won't enable me to create missions that are "saveable"/ why I can't built missions?
Only my first attempt with Hawai and Tailand worked. Serves as a template..
