Nothing new ? !
Almost everything we saw in this update is new, and it's the first time we've seen SOW's mission editor.
Only FMB stuff which isn't even far from Il-2's.

ONLY FMB? hahaha LOL you're incredible. 'Only' that FMB gives us the missions for online and offline. Without it, we'd have a sim with no missions, which just doesn't work.
You really need to grow up and stick to your CoD games. Clearly you just want a run-and-gun shoot-em-up.
Mission makers are wrapped at this update: yhere is just so much new stuff to see here. You need to look beyond the Il-2 layout.

That's not very mature from you either. Just because I am skilled enough to mod some FPS games I am a kid which needs to 'grow up'? I do respect your Naughty words were removed by Fireskull opinions, but please at least try to understand people whose opinions are different from yours. If you're having a bad day you don't have to start spreading your mood around.

So in one of the screen shots you can see the list of aircraft to choose from, but it seems that possibly 5 or 6 aircraft from that list are not visible because the list is scrolled down to the bottom. So what could the missing aircraft be???

All so dose any one know why two of the Hurricane's have (DH 5-20) / (Rotol-35) after them and what's with the -tech- aircraft?

The DH reference will be for the DeHavilland prop and the Rotol likewise,I assume the Hurricane with neither is probably the two bladed wooden prop version.

Re: BoB:SoW 3/12/2010 - KG64_Cnopicilin - 07.12.2010

The key differences from IL-2, judging by the pics:

-You can add weathering with a slider
-Weather map (Does it just let you select the weather like in Il-2 or actually make dynamic/area weather?)
-More options for groups and waypoints (wow, 2 nosearts, new?)

Re: BoB:SoW 3/12/2010 - dunkelgrun - 08.12.2010

I think that it's a very interesting update; good to see how the FMB will look. It also shows that Oleg's team have done their research as far as the airfields go - the grass field at Ramsgate is among the many minor ones shown - but haven't got it right with the geography. Dunkirk's new, post-war, harbour at Mardyck shows clearly. Now seeing that its construction destroyed the WW2 airfield there...
Sometimes I just wish he'd ask someone.

:cheers;

Re: BoB:SoW 3/12/2010 - Silverback - 08.12.2010

The Hurri's have two different props. I don't know what the tech aircraft are.

The fact is, images in the upper half will appear on the LEFT side of the plane, while the lower half will be shown on the RIGHT side. "Stock" nosearts have the image on the upper part, but there's nothing preventing you from editing the file to make it appear on the right, by placing the image on the bottom.

When I try 256x512 I get two images, squashed, on the left side and none on the right side. This was tried on the Spitfire Mark IXe.

But you opinion is not at all constructive; show us what is not new and exciting?
And, similarily, I am being perfectly mature. Every week you are only happy with updates which have pretty pictures and action. I am just making an observation which contains a lot of truth. I'm not arguing against any of your modding abilities for other-games, just that if you want an all-out-action shooter, SoW will not be that; nor will updates have pretty pictures just to impress you.

I am surprised that you even get a noseart (although deformed) on a Spit! Spits aren't supposed to allow nosearts, unless you have a mod for it. If so, the error could depend on the mod.

Try it on a Mustang, or P-47, or P-38 (you should select USA insignas to enable nosearts slot) and let me know.
