New beta is now available, with CanonUK's default skins (thanks Joe !!!) and game generated letters/numbers for most frontline Swordfish Squadrons.



Also includes the multination version with full game markings

- Switch to English language (if you want)

- Register to the site (if you are not registered already)

- Go to Resources - Downloads - Aerei - Swordfish Beta3 and download the last beta

THIS VERSION IS ONLY COMPATIBLE WITH AAA UI 1.1 AND SUBSEQUENT AIRCRAFT CONTAINED IN A/C INSTALLER 3.8, NOT WITH OLDER
VERSIONS OF SOUND MOD.

INSTALLATION

FOR THOSE WHO ALREADY HAVE THE PREVIOUS BETA2 VERSION:

1) delete existing "Swordfish" folder under your MODS folder

2) unzip the content of the zip file into your IL-2-1946 root folder


FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT HAVE THE PREVIOUS BETA2 VERSION:
====================================================

1) download and install AAA aircrraft installer 3.8 (or the latest version of AAA installer), courtesy AAA:
(The link is inoperative)

2) unzip the content of the zip file into your IL-2-1946 root folder

3) add the following line to your air.ini file (to be found under MODS\STD\com\maddox\il2\objects)

SwordfishMkI air.Swordfish1 1 NOINFO gb01 SUMMER

4) add the following line to your plane_ru.properties file (to be found under MODS\STD\i18n)

4) add the following lines to your weapons_ru.properties file (to be found under MODS\STD\i18n)

Could someone post some screen shots of what the new cockpit is supposed to look like? I just installed version3 ( I had not installed any previous version ) and I'm getting what look to me like bugs. Extra struts in front of the cockpit, and a light brown line appears over my shoulder if I look left or right. Also parts of the wings and struts disappear if I look left or right. Otherwise the cockpit is very nice.
I'm using 6DOF and an Nvidea card if that helps.
This is otherwise a great new, much needed aircraft.

Please remember that this is an adapted, beta cockpit. The real cockpit will have a full 3D model and will be available in some weeks

Just wondering if anyone else has had a problem with their cockpit view showing up as a solid purple windshield I really don't know how to post a screen shot but it appears that something is missing, everything else about the aircraft is great I was running the beta 2 and have now installed the beta 3 but the problem is still there.
