ahh g'day Magpie me ol china plate.
Was hoping to catch up with stupid brain who I see is now banned :lol:
Leigh was telling me his , how you say, love of derogeratory(wheres me spell check? ) comments on RAF Squad, and others.
hmmm yeh, you bet , map land ideas applenty, gunna have to push the limits I think . More mistakes and stuff ups , the more I'll learn, and we all learn. Some of these ideas already pointed out should be able to work in the "off map" areas as well. being a more or less blank canvas etc.
catch up with you later brother. (can't wait for my stick to arive from the states )

So you say the plane in the screenshot would sink in the ground? Then which file would be necesarry to change in order to prevent this? Maybe again map_F.tga?

Another thing that have to be done when type of surface is changed is map_F.tga that one regulate what you will see in distance.

A quick one, maybe a bit OT, managed to have a small concrete runway segment inserted in a mission. Didn't have time to check and see if it is visible also while running the mission. But within FMB it's visible.The weird and VERY BAD thing is that it has a small visibility distance like the ordinary objects, while a "real" runway is visible in game from much bigger distances.
How to insert:
Create a mission and place an object from "Objects" menu on that map, exit open mission with notepad and change the line corresponding to that object to something like

0_bld Plate$ConcreteRunway 1 72671.58 100244.88 550.00 (the numbers after ConcreteRunway should be the same as those you have for the original object such that runway segment will be at the same position as the original object). The segment will be there, but you'll not be able to change it's position within FMB. Similar things I think can be done with railway segments. Got to go...
