I had the same problem. Make sure you put the "missions" folder into your modded IL2 main directory and not the "Files" folder. The readme doesn't make it very clear! Once you do that you'll be able to fly all of the available maps in 4.08 and if you have 4.09, all of them as well.

Gents, a little check of your readme's before posting them would go long way but thanks for the great work! Smile

Well, I have missions in Il2/files/Missions/Quick folder and that works for me and other who tested QMBPlus and that's how it is supposed to work. That's why it's written that way in readme.

To be honest i don't see how would you be able to access those missions from QMB if you don't put them in files folder.

No idea but all I know is I got the same "wrong target" message so playing a bit I dropped the missions folder into my main directory giving me Campaign, Net, Quick and Single folders in the main Missions folder and deleted it from the Files folder and it works fine!

I didn't mean to be harsh on the readme comment, I thought perhaps something had been overlooked! I appreciate the work you are doing.

Basic object templates/missions for Singapore & Balaton

they need to be added as "Custom"

- ShadowGravy - 31.12.2007

Thanks vpmedia!

It took me a little while to figure out how to add these missions, so to make this simple for others here is what has to be done:

1. Put the four files in the .zip into your files/Missions/Quick folder.

2. Add these new maps into your conf.ini like this:

[quick]
Custom0=NWEurope
Custom1=MTO
Custom2=Bessarabia
Custom3=Balaton
Custom4=Singapore

3. Add the four templates to the fileslist document located in your main game folder:

Missions/Quick/BalatonBlueNone00.mis
Missions/Quick/BalatonRedNone00.mis
Missions/Quick/SingaporeBlueNone00.mis
Missions/Quick/SingaporeRedNone00.mis

Hi,

I had all this working yesterday pretty well, once in a while WRONG TARGET would pop up. But how I 've reinstalled QMBplus 1.1 and added those other 4 files and now I have SLovakia map not found, something to do with the load.ini. Same problem with Bessarabia. Tried Okinawa and worked fine. So far just a problem with SLovakia and Bessie. It will stop the mission installing. And if I force the install again, it will Crash To Desktop.

By the way, did the FUll mod english .93 did that write over the FILES text. Maybe that did it?

I tried some more maps all were fine. Just Slovakia and Besserabia are gone, both "load.ini" problem , someone mentioned a reversion back to 4.08m after the new SOUND .93. Maybe that had something to do with it. Maybe time to start from the the beginning.

You guys work so fast, its hard to keep up. But its great to have and Arado seaplane. Love it. THink I'll just do a clean install.

- ShadowGravy - 01.01.2008

Slovakia and Bessabaria don't exist in 4.08m so if you reverted that is probably where the fault lies. Go grab the modded 4.09b1m file from the 4.08m downloads forum.

There is another set of QMB missions for the (The link is inoperative) Net5Summer map in the 4.08 downloads thread. They work with this mod.

I extract everything to the desktop first and then manually move the files to my game folder. That said:

1. Add the four missions to the files/Missions/Quick folder. After that, edit the fileslist document to include the following lines:

Missions/Quick/Net5SummerBlueAirbase00.mis
Missions/Quick/Net5SummerBlueArmor00.mis
Missions/Quick/Net5SummerBlueBridge00.mis
Missions/Quick/Net5SummerBlueNone00.mis
Missions/Quick/Net5SummerRedAirbase00.mis
Missions/Quick/Net5SummerRedArmor00.mis
Missions/Quick/Net5SummerRedBridge00.mis
Missions/Quick/Net5SummerRedNone00.mis

2. To make the map name appear in the QMB menu add this to the Conf.ini (after the items posted earlier) :

Custom5=Net5Summer

Now that I understand better how the mission types work, I've been 'backfilling' on FC's original missions. Basically, anywhere he gave us just BlueNone00 and RedNone00 missions I've copied those to my desktop and systematically renamed those copiess to also be BlueAirbase00, BlueArmor00, BlueBridge00, BlueStrike00, BlueScramble00, RedAirbase00, etc. and adding them to the files/Quick/Missions folder and to the fileslist.txt.

Right now there isn't much of a reason for doing this except to get rid of the empty options in the QMB missions list--the missions don't automatically become a convoy attack or bridge busting sortie just by changing the name of the .mis file. Wink After I'm done with this I can later edit the 'new' missions to be something more appropriate in FMB at my leisure. I may also experiment with generating similar missions in UQMG and renaming those .mis files to fit existing QMB mission types.
