Good luck Slow!

Fisneaky that BelGeddes plane is something else. I wish they made that thing.

You know that people that travelled by Zeppelin still miss the luxury of travelling that way?

Unfortunately it was not to be. Sad

W-w-what the h....

Was this one the russian answer to the Endsieg-Propaganda ?

Holy thing...that bird blows away continents...

How fast was this bird (if it flew really)? [/img]
This plane never was make..........Only K-7 was make. This is only caricature

a flying battleship...awesome

from the looks of that caricature it would've had 2 Triple 12 inch turrets(Marat turrets looking at it)
six 8 inch guns ontop of those landing gear parts(4 front and 2 back)
and then several 5" or similar in the wings

eh the ultimate mobile artillery platform, kinda makes the AC130 spectre look like a wussy plane lol

One Flak 88 shell to cockpit..BOOM!! and there it would be.. wwrrrooouuuuummm..KAPOWW!!!
Nice try,i think they never tought it to the end..glass must be PANZERGLASS Big Grin

- ILV_Aquila_Noctis - 21.04.2008

What happens, if the pilot has a heartattack, the co-pilot stumbles over his dead body and falls out of the open window, and there's no one left on board to fly the thing? And, say, we're 20.000ft above...hmmm....Mexico City?

- Klemm - 21.04.2008

That thing would have had a maximum ceiling of 4000 to 6000 meters. MAXIMUM.
And though it maybe wouldn't have been THAT easy to shoot down, it would have been such a large target that everything with 20mm's and above would've shredded it to pieces whenever and wherever it appeared. Makes me question the effort, materials and money that would've gone into it for so little effect.
And then there's the effect of firing those big big guns in midair... maybe it would've crashed just by shooting them and running out of airspeed...

As was proven, faster planes with not so big warloads were always more succesful than planes with huge warloads but slow and vulnerable as hell. Considering equality of the opposing airforces of course.

(And i know this thing here in this thread was just meant as a joke, but giving this some educated thought is fun for me Tongue )

- Fisneaky - 21.04.2008

Seems the vibration from it's engines were enough to bring it down, and yes not the pilot but the designer had a heart attack shortly after.

- CKY_86 - 21.04.2008

Around the time this thing would have been given life, early to mid 30's is my guess, fighters only had machine guns. Taking down this thing with machine guns would be quite a challenge. What really intrests me is what effect the recoil would have from firing all those guns Confusedhock:

Imagen watching the huge monster plummet to the ground after you've shot out some of those engines
