it locks your frame rates to your screen's refresh rate so it will eliminate screen tearing

since this game engine was developed long before the common LCD screens were available, in the end you will get the screen tearing

for example

even though i have 200 FPS, you will see 3 parts of the picture not lined up properly

well i made the changes and it still gets choppy around alot of smoke on the ground, what can i change with out changing the water to much?

do you have like 3rdeye's or Holy Grail's or Fly's smoke mods?

that might be the problem to your stuttering

yeah i did get a smoke mod from this site and i took it out and i dont have the problem any more but my smoke is back to stock witch sucks, but before i changed the config i had that smoke in there and had no problems.
