nice screenshots !! did you took that sand from FarCry ? it reminds me of FarCry sand .
It is definitely better looking sand with that " BumpH " thingy

maybe these cities , towns and objects new burning blaze and smoke effect is making screenshots more live like which pile up of new effects will be released sooooon
I never liked much bombing cities , towns and villages but since this new effects mod development I want to do now nothing else than ground pounding and bombing , at high altitude looking down on those photo like ground textures , cities fire blaze looks amazing after bombing run at least to us considering there was in some cases almost no effect before :lol:
We really like Compans all new textures for maps as it all together gets even better looking

I think that Companses texture would look even better with BumpHs, like real fileds. Maybe I will give it a go, if had time.

Tests on my Normandy map :
Medium altitude.
Low altitude with the addition of .tree.tga.
The tex. was slightly modified to fit this spring landscape (more greenish).

Just add the files in your _tex/land/summer/.. folder with the compans files (assuming you kept their name).
I personally don't like so much bumpH, but it may look good with other ones (not shown in the pictures)
NB: the color tex shown in the picture is slightly modified from the original to fit one of my maps

Thanks a lot! BTW: what map is that? I've tried them on LAL's Normandy map, but it looked awful due to the repetitiveness. I'll have to look for a map, where different textures are used mixed next to each other. Maybe the original Normandy map?

You're right !
But I completely reworked the map_T file (to get rid of those awfull repetitive patterns).
This map uses the map_T.tga I made for the 2 Normandy winter maps included within my GW winter maps-pack.
