Great aircraft and incredible addition!
Thanks!
I was trying just briefly the aircraft, tested the loop bomb manevrue, worked well and you have plenty of time to get out from the hell you are going to make.
Than I was trying myself by attempting the in-flight refuel from KB-29 and.. I was disappointed by how easy I managed to join the tanker, on my first attempt.
The whole mod works great, I succeeded in re-filling my tanks, and it is very well modeled.
But.. I think that it should be much more tricky.. the catchment are is too big - you need to be just after the KB-29, slightly below and it's all. The in-flight refueling is consider to be one of the hardest thing in flying so why not do this more challenging. Lets think about landing on a escort carrier on a stormy day - that's something thought! Why not move air refueling to the same level?
Anyway, thanks a lot!

Wow Flak this is a really amazing mod, I can't believe you were able to go so far beyond the original constraints of the game. I can't wait to see what you think of next!
PS, I notice the F-84 doesn't have any flame coming out of the tail, did the real one not have an afterburner or is my game glitching or are you jsut going for a slightly different look?

I set it to work without the "il2 flame", and the F-84 didn

Well, they tried it with F-86A's..Here's a quote... They were not operational, but they tried it. It was not succesfull, but it worked..
''There were other efforts to extend the F-86's range. In early 1951, the USAF tested aerial refueling on a T-33, F-84 and F-86.
The airman flew 4 flights in an F-86A in March using a drogue system from a KB-29 tanker and a 3.5 foot probe on an F-86 120 gallon external fuel tank. This configuration encountered problems because it placed the fighter's empennage in the tanker's turbulance, making longitudinal control ''very difficult'' and causing the drogue to bob. As a result, contact in the F-86 was more a problem than with the other 2 aircraft..''

Does it work with SAS buttons v2.3 ?
Or only with UI 1.2 ?

Tested. So far so good. I really enjoy this mod keep up the good work.
It was so cool watching the fuel dial increase. One question ,though, will this work for all Thunderjets?

Hi Guys,
One small strange problem - I can't release bomb!?
Got keys defined, I'm using it as usual - no result!
Any ideas?

Try assigning the bomb release to another key and see if it helps.
Refuelling manual? -
Uzin - 20.10.2009
I am ashamed , but I cannot refuel F84G3. I have installed 4.08, over 4.09, SASmodact over clean install, SAS buttons v2.3.
Would anybody of you smart virpils (= virtual pilots) can write refuelling manual, please? I have assigned "D" to [Attach/detach aircraft] control. At which distance it works? How precisely I must approach to the receptacle?

If the tip of the boom is close to your left side of your canopy, then you should be able to attach it.
Works for me

This is a bug due to conflict with teh bomb release mod - The solution is simple: you must open the (virtual) bomb bay before being able to release your bombs.
BTW there is a conflict between the KB29P and the AAA_Motor mods included in the UI 1.2 pack (files 21CDD1C66D55376 and AF5F8A326C3FA53C)

Thank you very much, Flakiten.
I just succeded in refuelling for the first time.
The trick is, I suppose, to get the receptacle in the space between forward part of the splane and the wing. Then activate
[Attach/Detach Airplane] and it is done. Even you can have receptacle in front of plane's right wing, not the proper left one, and it works.
