Nice work!

I'm glad to see the dedication to a model of such an important aeroplane. Smile

nice! but too much poly... already ...

if you make your model for IL2 ... you need to stay within the limit 10 000 poly for one cockpit ... max ...

Why do you need a 3D hole devices on the panel? they can make a texture with alpha channel...
like on all other plane in Game...

and more ... better and more correct to start with a skeleton cab ... that would then not dance with the scale of the filling

Good work so far. The panel can always be changed so its not a biggie at the moment. If anything it will help position the gauges.

Like Monguse said it can be changed later. Also I am new to cockpit modeling so I have really no idea where to begin. I've done all my work in solid works and got 3ds max because I heard that's the best for Il-2.

I can work in Inventor as well although I strongly suggest 3Dmax. If you want quick and dirty 3D models you can always use AutoCAD then import and re edit in max.
