Thanks for reporting, Ted. Some of those photos are really creepy!
hock:
BTW, in the "fuselage damage" section, you can actually see the battle damage taken by "Little Miss Mischief" (the bird I'm modeling) which led to the whole tail section being replaced; hence the unusual paintscheme, bare metal with olive drab tail.

Re: 1/72 B-17G Revell + kit review - WIP - Serpiko - 05.01.2013
...Yes, I'm taking forever to build this one...
TAIL GUNNER STATION - the kit provides parts for two different tail turrets, either the early type or the late "Cheyenne" one (which, noticeably, is fully made by clear parts). So, which one is to be used? After a little research, it turned out that "Little Miss Mischief" may have had BOTH type of tail turrets, in different times of her second life after the tail swap.
This real life picture clearly shows our friend (check the serials) featuring the early type tail turret:
However, have a look at this other pic: it portrays the end of LMM's career, when a takeoff accident on April 4, 1945 put her definitively out of service:
Although the tail turret is partially hidden here, the visible part of its upper side looks much like the "Cheyenne" type, as you can see in this detail:
Therefore, I chose to build both turrets, and just snap them onto the tail of the model so that I can swap them at will!

Thank you all for both your appreciation and your wishes. I apologise once more for the long time this is taking, but here we're currently quite busy with another kind of "scale model"... one that keeps screaming and suckling at anytime!
