Good news is that I got rid of the throttle behaviour for the Sabre (unless it had those issues which I doubt). So for the next release, no need to move the throttle in small increments.

By the way US_GRANT, terrific job on the V2 template, I think I'm going to borrow "a couple" of layers from it Tongue if that's ok with you of course!

That's why I made it. It would be an honor to help.

US_GRANT Wrote:Do you push your throttle beyond 100%, say to 101% or beyond? That will stall your engine every time in the YP-80. Since the sabre uses the P-80 FM ATM, this will happen to the sabre too. As for restart, you'll need to drop the nose, push the throttle to 80% and build up sufficient speed then restart. Altitude is critical for an air start.

Yep...I'm always maxing her out and in a panic, thrusting the throttle back and forth trying to start again...Ok i think im figuring this bird out now, i nailed 4 ME-262's and made it back in one piece, so im must be doin somethin right...Only stalled once and followed your directions here about the throttling Big Grin ......ty

No doubt that this is a great model 8) , and I can only look forward to the release of it's own FM.

One thing I did noticed though. Is when you use the Squadron codes you have 2 letters on 1 side and 1 on the other. Also the regiment file is missing.

Can this be corrected or is it impossible?

Cheers

Wait... You nailed three Me-262's and the other one DIDN'T run away?!? You were doin good on your throttle work but those Me-262s were doing terrible on their tactics, lol.

this mod is absolutely amazing. great work.

couple of questions. will the next version have drop tanks, ejector seat and airbrakes?

on another topic - does anyone know if there's a mod about that gives drop tanks and weapon hardpoints for the p-80 - as it would have fought in korea?

reading this and other posts it now seems a korean mod complete with sabres, mig-15s, panthers and skyraiders is now closer than ever.

Have you looked at the F-80A thread?

I just checked it and it works for me. Once his page loads, you have to scroll down in the little window in the middle of the page and the DL link is there.

I think the rockets were part of a feasibility trial rather than operationally deployed. However there were fighter bomber units in Korea so the ability to carry bombs operationally is supported by fact.

Can we expect any updates soon PeterD?

I think a Sabre only looks half dressed without drop tanks.

Have patience guys, I'm sure this plane will get a realistic loadout with the new FM, we just need to wait for that FM to be done, which takes time if we want to have an accurate and realistic representation of the Sabre. Besides, the F-86 will be the fastest A/C in the game yet which I'm guessing requires some experimenting first.

Cheers
