To be honest I haven't noticed any real adverse effect at night.. The one and only major night disadvantage was having your AI aircraft give the game away with their nav lights blaring away for every fighter to see for miles!.. Certainly can't say that cockpits give the game away..
What you can't control, even for online fighting at night, is what the other guy does with his monitor settings, now, that is the easiest way for anyone to get an advantage, regardless of what mods people are using!

Great job Avala :!: :!: :!:

Lol. Jeeze mate, just try it and see for yourself. No one is asking to put your wedding tackle into a lions jaws. Download the whopping 700kb and check it out. Yes the moonlight will reflect a little funny on some canopies when seen up close, but that is all. It is not a 'cheat'. And anyway, last time i looked there weren't a whole lot of servers running night maps Smile

Avala - Absolutly Bloody Fantastic! Love it!

Thanks people Big Grin

Anyway, for those who are interested, here is how it looks at night. It's not a big deal but will be fixed.

Jump_Pilot be free to try it, if you find it bad MrJoly made an uninstaller too. No harm at all at game installation Smile

Well it’s not bad, depends on light, but probably will be toned down just a little.

“Bomber’s moon” Big Grin nice screenshot, gave me idea for some “art”

Zezajte se, samo fali da neko pita sta je to na egleskom Smile

Let's keep it in english guys Smile

As stated.. Not sure why people are worried about this, I think it looks right and I'm pleased with the effect.. I'll say it again to remind people about the biggest advantage your enemy has over you when flying night missions.. He can simply adjust the contrast and light settings on his monitor to show up anything... and you won't be aware because you can't see it!.. So this is nothing to flap about..

Well I have to disagree there Trooper - have another look at my screenshot.
On my rig the canopy 'glow' switches on and off quite abruptly as I change external viewpoint and looks too milky-white IMO.
To be honest I'm really only bothered by the likes of the Ju 88 and Fw189, as it doesn't look too bad on fighters. When you have a lot of transparent area it seems unrealistic to my eye - as though the inside of the glass is totally covered with steamy condensation (perhaps the crew are in a night sweat? Big Grin )

I never fly online so what others do is academic...but I do like things to appear realistic
All a matter of opinion, as ever.

However, it will be fixed
