There is the original QMB mod which was for v4.08m. That one is linked in another thread.
Now there is this QMBPlus that has some of the new maps in the 4.09m beta patch.
Use the version of QMB that matches the version of your game.
After you install it, FC's Read Me document explains that every new map can have up to twelve mission types (None, Airbase, Armor, Bridge, Strike and Scramble = 6 types (x2 for Red vs. Blue). However, to have a real armor attack mission you'd have to place the tanks on the map and identify them as the target in the FMB. To truly have 12 mission types you have to build specialized missions in FMB.
Because of this, FC gave us all mission types for only a few of the maps (Ardennes Winter and NW Europe come to my mind but there were a couple of others). If you select 'Armor' or 'Scramble' on the Berlin map, for example, QMB won't be able to generate anything because FC didn't include a mission. For most maps you can only choose 'None.'
I duplicated all the my 'None' missions so that at the very least I don't have to remember which maps have what mission types; no matter what I select,
something will be generated. Now if I choose Red mission type Armor on the Berlin map, I may not have tanks to attack but at least I'll be flying over the Berlin map. I can edit tanks to the mission later with FMB if I want that kind of mission as a possibility. In fact, I've already gotten some good results by just copy/pasting scenery from similar DGen missions right into my new QMB mission files; Boelke's desert campaign scenery has spiced up the SandsOfTime QMB files very nicely.
Now all I have to do is move around some waypoints in FMB and choose particular targets for each kind of mission.
I'm just experimenting for now. I think I'll try to put together specialized missions for the ItalyOnline map first so I can play around with objects and scenery.

Apparently missions generated in UQMG can't be directly renamed for use in QMBplus. I can't even edit the UQMG missions in FMB to make them work. However, I can copy/paste the scenery section of the UQMG generated missions into the missions provided with QMBplus and the new scenery will appear. This is an interesting snag; my next test is if I can edit my 'modded' FC missions in FMB (instead of working with the UQMG products directly).

This is a great MOD.
I was wondering if the distance between the merge for air to air battles was changed?
It takes forever for the fight to start. Is this something I could edit?
Thank you,

A superb mod!!
I do have a couple of questions however;
I still cannot get Slovakia, MTO, and Bes....when I click fly, it says 'Landscape 'Slovakia/load.ini laoding error'. I followed the install as far as I could work it out (they do get a bit confusing sometime in the Readme files).
When I tried to load the map using a QuickStrike.pos mission the game loaded to 30% and then CTD'd!
Also, what does Quick.POS mean in the QMB setup screen?
Sorry for all the questions and I hope this makes sense? If someone could post an idiots guide to installing the QMBplus I would be greatly appreciative!!

Thank you,
This gets a bump from me since I had the same question. Planes seem to be WAY to far from each other now, can this be changed?

Yes, it can.
Just load the mis file from files/Missions/Quick/ into FMB and move the starting waypoint for the flights.
I absolutely love this mod. Really given QMB a new lease of life
I love being able to add maps, and spruce up maps with scenery etc.
Great stuff!

Joe,
Thank you for the reply, I am not sure I understand.
So does that mean that we have to copy the .mis file over to the main Missions folder for FMB and then edit all the .mis files from this MOD?
I am just wondering... There are 78 .mis files with this MOD. So, would I have to do this 78 times.
Thanks

It took me a little while to figure out how to add these missions, so to make this simple for others here is what has to be done:
1. Put the four files in the .zip into your files/Missions/Quick folder.
2. Add these new maps into your conf.ini like this:
[quick]
Custom0=NWEurope
Custom1=MTO
Custom2=Bessarabia
Custom3=Balaton
Custom4=Singapore
3. Add the four templates to the fileslist document located in your main game folder:
Missions/Quick/BalatonBlueNone00.mis
Missions/Quick/BalatonRedNone00.mis
Missions/Quick/SingaporeBlueNone00.mis
Missions/Quick/SingaporeRedNone00.mis
This is a great MOD and I am enjoying it very much. I have figured out how to add new maps to FMB and I understand this post on adding new maps to QMB.
But,
How is it that with the QMBPlus_1.1 MOD,
we add the three lines;
[quick]
Custom0=NWEurope
Custom1=MTO
Custom2=Bessarabia
and the result is more that three added maps?
Like how does QMB know that Hawaii is there?
I understand adding new maps and putting in another Customx=xxx in the config file, but I am not understanding how this MOD added all the maps in QMB with three enties in the config file.
I do not see anything that ties these other maps (Hawaii for example) to the QMB Menu for maps.
Re: QMBPlus - FC - 09.01.2008
First i want to thank Vpmedia and ShadowGravy for their work on new map/missions, that's something I hoped that would happen.

Thank you,
When I was making templates I tried to place enemies at 20km distance. Maybe on some maps there is a bigger separation. I can decrease distance in future release of QMBPlus if most of people think that current distance is too big.

From your description it look to me that you don't have installed version 4.09 of the game and that you are still using 4.08. To use new maps you must have newest version of the game and that is 4.09beta.

Some maps are hardcoded into QMB, you can't add or delete them without making changes in Java code, to enable people to add their favorite maps into QMB without programming I made option to add maps through conf.ini.
Theoretically I can make QMB without maps in it but in that case users will have to add them and make templates for them.
On the other hand hardcoding all of the maps into QMB is stupid IMO and it would require lot of work on mission templates. Couple hundred missions would be requred to cover all maps and possible targets.

Hi FC,
Firstly, let me say great mod. Your QMB Plus was one of the reasons I decided to install the hack.
I've had great success adding new maps and populating them with ground targets. However I've had some trouble creating new mission types. I followed all the instructions regarding naming and created the correct entries, but when I typed the new mission name into the 'Mission Type' box it just loaded the 'None' mission instead.
Any ideas where I might be going wrong?
Thanks

I'm sorry, there is something wrong and i must find what is the problem. So at the moment adding new target will not work but don't delete your missions, I'll solve this one way or another and you will be able to use missions that you have made.

Ah right, excellent - I appreciate you're on the case
Looking forward to the fix!

what im waiting for is for a mission pack for all maps with all targets! :o

It really doesn't take that long to make a mission yourself, papote

OK, I understand that you must add mission templates into the Quick folder and they must be labeled with the appropriate map name such as mapnameBluenone00.mis and mapnameRednone00.mis, BUT you just can't do a mindless renaming of say one of your existing MIS files in order to duplicate say one template for all the different maps you may want to have appear in QMB..... right?
Since each template may have data and coordinates which reflect the properties of that map I just could not use the templates from say the Net5Summer maps and just change the file name repeatedly for all the other maps I want to have appear in QMB? (after of course adding those names within the conf.ini and filelist.txt of course)
I want to be able to do air starts in simple Red vs Blue air to air without worrying about ground for all maps which are available through FMB.
