This file DATA.cld is fantastic! Now i think that 3.5 is the minimun value for a good sky.
So you think is setting it to 5 is alright?? FPS playable? What is your system, rig, what do you have under the hood?
Anyone else confirm??

Well....I ran the default, 2.5. Then went to 3.5 and back to 3.0.
So far...3.0 looks great with little to no FPS hit. 3.5 saws my VSYNC On 3 Ghz Core Duo from 75 to 36 fps. Still good but need more to see if it's worth it.
LOL! Will try 5.0 see what that does.

best clouds I have ever seen from Il-2 engine. 8)

It would be tempting to combine Flushies clouds, Andrey's CLD and then the DirectX bloom effects all into one screenshot, but I fear the beauty of it might incapacitate us all.....

I say that on an "old" (AGP) system: P4 3GH, 2GB RAM, 7800GT.
With 5.0 i can play without problems offline, but for IL2 i prefer 3.5. 5.0 would be great for a modern jet sim.
BTW, i've never seen a so wonderfull and realistic sky....IL2 it's not a so old engine.
We need to test it online.

I have very low FPS in "Hazy" with 3.5 but in poor and blind it's ok. Sound crazy, but it must be something with the distribution/placing of clouds through map, it is diferent for all setings and diferent even for maps.

I have exact this setting...
I only use DX-Set online...because on openGL I get stutters...maybe the small bandwidth
2 Screenies:
Alt: 7800 Meters, Sunlight from above behind
Alt: 7500 Meters, Rain below, very cloudy
If you're on hunt in the clouds, you should close each eye all 4 seconds for a moment...or you're blind
I hope you like it
Btw: This are pure Screenshots...no Magic in PS done.
