Re: Maybe a RE 2005 as well? My Favorite Italian Fighter! - Veltro - 25.07.2008

Jadehawk Wrote:First off, I want to thank the Italian fellows who will do this for the Il-2 community! Secondly, I do hope someone out there would give us a Re 2005! One can wish and hope can't we? Wink

I also think that P-47D looks better than what we have already. For one thing, the propeller hub is the correct size unlike the one we currently have. I wish someone here could take the propeller hub from the P-47D Razorback and graph it on the P-47D Bubble top.

Thanks again! Smile

RE 2005!!!! Woohooo! - Jadehawk - 25.07.2008

Wow! I'm in LOVE!! Confusedhock:

That's a beautiful example as well! I should tell you this, I did a profile on this shown below. It's much reduced from the original size and I just love it. Still incomplete, but I'm having trouble with finding a close up detailed shot of the script on the fin for Sagittario. I do know there are several versions for both sides of the fin as well which is not helping me! Anyhow, here it is. and Good luck with your CG Model! Big Grin

Apologies for the size, but I did reduce this by more than 70% from the original.

I found this, I dont know if it is the same but guy says that he is making them for IL2. So it is already optimized for IL2. Post is one year old though.

Maybe someone could contact him, or he is maybe already here?

That - I believe - is the same one I have in my possession. The SM.79 I have is made by RAF_Cobber, specifically for Il2, this includes shadows, damages, skins etc.

The SM.79 is in line for importation, but is a few down the list. It will happen, just not right this minute. Soon however.

Fantastic news. One of my all-time favourites. Looks like a charging bull from the side. 8)

The most important - it is carrying a torpedo!

To me most of the Italian planes looks like designed by some 20 individuals but, they have style that is for sure Smile .

It will have a original cockpit or a "generic" one?

Italian Aircraft - Kopfdorfer - 16.08.2008

Great to see the props spinning on these babies.
I am rather fond of these Italian Designs.
I'd like to add to the wish list :
Veltro I admire your taste in the Reggiane Series Fighters, but I always had a soft spot for the earlier, uglier 2000, 2001,2002s
Also the Caproni Ca 310-316 series is interesting...and unique.

Looking forward to them all.

Are there plans to use these 3-d models?

Indeed I agree with the above poster especially about the Re-2001. There was a model of that floating around somewhere too! Smile

Yes. Good news...

I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico.
