What a great plane! I never was a fighter pilot, but i will reskill as a nightfighter ;-) Even the cockpit fits fine, and the radar ist a realy great (and for shure extendable) idea.

This might help with the fin shape:

Having looked at it some more, I wonder whether Checkyersix's fine effort could be further improved by a different engine nacelle. The Tu 2 one's are circular in cross section but they lack the tapering shape of the He 219's annular radiators. However, there are a couple of Japanese aircraft with similar shapes:

Ki 21-II 1940

G4MI-II 1941

Maintaining the overall nacelle length might be a problem, but I'd be interested to see the result. Is this possible, Ranwers?

Will see.

Just a word of appreciation. I know its not perfect but what a remarkable addon. I love the idea of the Radar simulator. Its ambigous enough to suggest a 1940's system (not that Ive ever used one) and with the nav lights removed mod Ive had great fun stalking Liberators painted as Lancs around the skys over Berlin. Atmospheric stuff. If only the gunners where a little less accurate  . Heres hoping some RAF heavy are on the way for reals. Though to be honest Id rather be in them than in this dastardly Luftwaffe machine
Well done, if only I had some sort of skill to help you modding chaps I would be glad to help, but I fear I will have to leave it up to the experts.

In summary then Bloody well done that man, and thank you.

It's looking better and better.

I'm glad everyone is enjoying it so much and it's really great how everyone's chipping in to make it better.

Thanks guys.

That had better be a retextured B24 in the last shot, and not a halifax that you've got your hands on and I haven't, or I'll cry! Confusedhock:

Aircraft recognition test for you laddie!.. report to the Adjutant, tell him I sent you, we need a Pilot Officer for flare path duty tonight!
Oh, after that, be a good chap and cut along to OTU for a refresher course.. can't have you roaming around the skies not understanding what's what eh!..
