You'll also need dlv_Bridge Mod - this is an object pack that uses bridges as objects, not as game generated bridges. On maps that have rivers above 0m, there is often difficulty in using game generated bridges. These objects look like the game bridges, but they are placed like objects. Nor do they act like bridges. Vehicles do not cross over them. These object serve as visual embellishments.

Anyway, here is a dl:

Here we have an update for the Chaco map. This will be version 3.0. It has reworked airfields with corrected taxi points and such and also features some renamed towns, renamed airfields and a few new towns added. Rivers have also been named.

This work was done by Viking and King respectively, for which many thanks.

The map now also features muddy brown water. If you don't care for this color, you can remove it by editing the load.ini and removing the following 2 lines:

WaterColorATI = 0.275 0.149 0.008 //Only used for ATI
WaterColorNV = 0.275 0.149 0.008 //Only used for Nvidia

Here is the download link for version 3.0

Unzip, and copy all the files into your ag_Chaco map folder. Make a backup copy of all the files to be overwritten first just to make sure.

Hello I tried DLing the chaco map mod v2.0, I am having problems getting the map to load. I get this message in the FMB:

section [MAP2D] not found in 'maps/ag_chaco/load.ini

I there something I am missing or doing wrong? I would appreciate some help in clarifying or solving this issue. Thanks!

That's a mysterious message that I've had as well a few times when downloading other maps. I've never been able to figure out what the problem really is, since the [MAP2D] section is obviously present in the load.ini.

In other posts on this problem, some members suggest to try changing the ed_m01/02.tga maps from RGB color to indexed color. It hasn't helped me in any instance though.

If you're up to it, you might perhaps try making a copy of the Chaco map under another name and see if that helps when you install. You will have to know how to make a new line for the all.ini though. It works like this.

Let's say you wish to change the name of the map into 'Paraguay'. Then you will need a line constructed like this:

[Folder name][space][Folder name][/][load.ini]

so in this case:

Paraguay Paraguay/load.ini

Can't guarantee this will work though. It's just a measure to try out and hope it works.
