Well pilots, i have to open my soul:
Saitek Cyborg 3DII USB
The best piece of hardware I ever had...
I had it for "1000 years"... cant even remember the year of purchase.
After all these years of dogfights - it is still in perfect condition... all springs, buttons,...etc.
Felling of
hard plastic, like a real WW2 stick, quality of all parts... something that both Logitech and "new generation Saitek" could only - dream about.
It is crying shame that Saitek has dropped the quality of parts compared to this "real thing".
Fact... that it is not supported by Win7 64 was a "black date" in my simulation career.
Quality, feeling and durability - of present "solutions": Log. 3d pro, cyborg evo, cyborg aviator,... and other mid-class sticks... are simply "black humor" compared to this rock-solid yostick and it's parts... from throtle to the last button.
Buttons on "hard" Cyborg X... are "toy mockery" compared to this one.
Just hope that with BoB:SoW release... we'll get a 2-3 new joysticks on market and that 1 of them woud be - at least simmilar quality product.
( Maybe... Saitek returns to "old glory" days ? Maybe Thrustmaster T16000M with revision of serious-quality buttons and throttle in hard plastc ? Maybe som new Logitech... )
