how much poly in model rihgt now?
il2 - low poly game...

now your model looking very nice... but its to much poly((( you are making double work ...

Not all so Sita, its 3,000 polys a group in IL2 and you can have as many
Groups as you like, the only thing is not every one has a big PC to handle
Large ploy models, if you keep a players pit model and that is what he is
Building at around 20 to 25,000 ploys then you be ok in IL2.

limit for bomber cockpit (in default IL2) 10 000 poly .... and the smaller the better
if this project making for Il2 ... not just a Mod...

Right default when the game was put out many years ago and PC where
Not that strong, but now that old limit can go up as PCs can handle more
These days, the pit that I made for the Fokker D7 that was in IL2 was just
Under 20, 000 polys and we used it with no problems in IL2.

Thought the limit was 10,000 per object, not per plane. I was planning on breaking up the cockpit into different objects to be referenced in the Java code.

Its up to 3,000 polys a group and you can have as many groups as you like
Up to about 20 to 25,000 polys for a players pit total best to stay about
20,000 for people with lower end PCs.

I just went to look at my Fokker D7 pit that was put into
IL2 and was used by the testers and my self and was with
No problems in IL2 and it is 17,189 polys total.
