+1 - at least for the MkIIc Hurricane Smile

I'd imagine the vokes filter on the MkVc Spit's would suffice?

Tropical Filters - Yes! - FA_Cheech - 26.11.2007

This would be awesome...have always wanted them for MTO scenarios!

I just realised what it is I hate about the enlarged rudder on the Spits.

The curvature of the bottom half of the rudder should flow smoothly into the line of the fuselage underside (in more or less a straight line):

But look what we got:

Horrible! Confusedhock:

While I do appreciate haveing the MK. 9C in game, it's a horrible representation of the aircraft. The MK 5Cs and Mk. 8s are superior 3D models.

I wouldn't mind a MK. 9C made from the MK8 with the 5Cs rudder. Would look great.

Now that's a great idea! Is it feasible to replace the IX models (Cs and Es) with slightly modified VIIIs?

- GentleKiller - 27.11.2007

eww throw that hurricane in a trash can, but anyway back to the topic. Yeah the rudder assembly is not correct. i have seen the spit in airshows and they have a nice curvature at the bottom, in the game the rudder the way it is modeled is a piece of s***

PFFFT! Dont underestimate the hurri... if flown right Smile

It would be nice for co-op's and scenarios

But only GB fly this version.
If You want different early version, copy this files to:

SpitfireMkIXc(Multi1)
SpitfireMkIXcCLP(GB)
SpitfireMkIXcCLP(Multi1)

with correct lines in files.txt

I got an idea for a P51 A.

Can we take the lower nose section ofthe hurricane to get the look of the alison engine?

+1!!!

i installed the new Spit IXc trying both Ranwers (BTW Great work!) and Mr.Jolly's method and had the game load extremely slowly then freeze. Also, Explorer slowed to a crawl on my computer. So I had to remove it. Don't know why.

- GentleKiller - 27.11.2007

ranwers you are so hot, jk!! you are doing some great progress!!! ty!!

- FA_Cheech - 28.11.2007

Bug report - The Spit IXc with the rounded tail and the small centerline scoop will not show centerline stores.

The 1st model built by Ranwers works just great.
