If only the requesting community knew how much work goes into these models, i think the attitude would change a bit. how about laying off the requests and waiting to see what comes out?
To build a plane from scratch is taking months not days, to build one from parts takes weeks, then they have to be submitted for quality control, this could take a very long time as the people that check them are working on projects themselves.

Also, some of the requests i have seen on here are laughable, cold war jets, what if's, helo's.
