Zuti - there's no need to go to the trouble of making another map with empty airfields - I'll work with whatever you finish with. If you've started populating then go ahead - what you've created is so good, it would be churlish to complain.....
- |ZUTI| - 26.12.2008
I mean, it's no trouble because i did all this modular way. Everything is separated so i can make two more builds (winter and summer) with empty airfields. Really, no problem at all

New version - v1.2 available
General notes:
- map is
for IL2 v4.09,
- best in combination with
perfect mode in IL2 graphical settings,
-
winter version requires may-bugs textures (viewtopic.php?t=10025).
Changes from v1.1:
- fixed/redone airports for AI functionality
- expanded/rearranges buildings on airports (more bomber hangars, cleaner RW paths...)
- denser populated Austria (rivers, roads, villages/cities)
- denser populated Hungary (rivers, roads, villages/cities)
- denser populated Italy (roads, villages/cities)
- denser populated Croatia (roads, villages/cities)
- Ogulin airport in Croatia was moved (with city itself) to a correct location
- new airport in Austria (Lienz)
- two new airports for Hungary (i shall not write those names again
)
- fixed problems with missing bridges
- added two more ini lines, i hope you don't mind :\ Slovenia_Summer and Slovenia_Winter. They use online density of buildings and have empty airfields (only parking areas are there so mission creators know where AC park).
- updated ReadMe (do read it
).
I hope you will enjoy this flying around on this map and thank you all.

Hi ZUTI,
Great job, big THX.
Don't you have a printable version of this gorgeous map by chance (with all the names and so). Like this of Slovakia

Cibule: thanks. You want bmp or tga? I uploaded the tga for you and you can grab it here:

It's summer one, i know. If you require winter one aswell, just let me know.

since the site was down for most of the day we were unable to give you feed back on the testing we done for this map.
When we spawn on the 1.2b we are no where near the airbase we seem to spawn like 2k away from the bases.

You must be using the airfield marks outside the airfields that are meant for DF maps only. Did you go through the readme and section explaining and showing all the infrastructure of the airfields? All airports for bomber operations have their own picture there.
From my own tests, speaking for Ljubljana - Polje airfield, i managed to get aprox. 20 b29s airborne, fully loaded. Also, i'm including a mission for 10 b29s landing on the same airport.

So, from what i am able to tell, it's working as expected. You just need to zoom in a bit and select appropriate runway. All is explained in the readme
EDIT: mission is made with v1.2 (the final one, not the betas).
EDIT2: GF_Mastiff, are you using DCG? If so, try making maps with Slovenia_Summer/Winter settings (new ini lines for 1.2) and report if that is fine.

Thanks a lot, ZUTI. Awesome.
I"ll try to turn it into a couple of PDF A4 format sheets to be printed and glued together again (in a reasonable scale). Love to use classic paper maps for inflight navigation.

For all users of DCG, new beta build is available, that should make all airfields compliant for use with DCG.

- new airport added (Lavariano, Italy),
- fixed problems with bomb craters in water for winter maps,
- updated ReadMe (do read it
).
I hope you will enjoy this flying around on this map and thank you all.
