Its almost scary to see how so little effort went into creating the original PF maps.

What incredible detail in your new map - and to think you thought no one would be interested. This map is going to be a gold standard when it comes out.
And indeed, on the standard maps that come with the game - a year ago I was enthralled when first flying. Now they seem like antiques.

I'm impressed. You have been working on this map for about 9 months now and it's worth every second of it! It's nice to compare the original photo's with your screenshots. Look so detailed.
I hardly play PTO but your map will make me go back to the Pacific again.

Porto, I've been watching your map progress for a short while now, awesome job keeip it up. Your attention to detail is remarkable! I'm quite sure part of it is just the engine and the way it models the shore line in some places but is there any way to either add some kind of a small breaker at the end of the concrete docks or something? It just doesn't look right in game dispite it being dead on from the photos. The last pic you posted for example or Ford island.

I am so glad i started this thread, it seems to have cleared off the mothballs and brought some truly impressive work to the surface. you was so wrong when you said no one would be interested in this map, from what i see, it will be one of the best to date.
Keep it going, i for one cant wait to see this on the download section

porto, i think he means where the flat panels that you used to make the base where it is lying on the water, maybe a concrete edge is needed or something?
