i have wanted to make a big tank for a while and filally got around to doing it. it'l probobly have some motors and some kind of gun and will be made of plywood. i think i might be able to finish before the 22nd(then i go to montana and the tank wont be finished until after summer)
if anybody here wanted to make one im sure you could, all you would need would be some sheets of plywood(or metal if you have fancy tools and money) , some kind of saw, plans, calculator, ruler(digital micromiter is more easy), a pincil, and something for the tracks(belt from a tredmil)
that should be all and costs less than 80$ depending on scale, tank, and detail

I need your help, guys! I'm making a 1/48 diorama of a Spit IX (Johnnie Johnson), who just returned from a mission, clobbered tail, he's explaining the dogfight to one of his chaps, etc...
so here's 3 grass mats, and I can't decide which one to buy. The meadow looks more real, but I don't know if it's historically correct for a WW2 airfield. What do you think?

Depends on the time of year/weather etc. I like mat #3. Where did you get the mats from-they look very realistic!

- reflected - 12.06.2008

Yes, I also think No3 is the best. I ordered it from a hungarian webshop. They're "Auhagen" grass mats.

Yep,Number 3 looks like the best choice,it just looks "British"
If you know what i mean! Smile

Hi everyone,

I just joined up yesterday - been playing IL-2 offline for about a year (off and on, I still pretty much suck) but I am a modeler from way back. Except that I haven't built anything in maybe 20n years!

I used to build mostly armor and actually worked for a small resin model and accessories comany for a while, having been responsible for a number of conversion kits (Shermans esp.) back in the '80s.

I recently visited home and packed up a number of my aircraft models (unbuilt) and picked up a few new ones, along with all my tools & fresh paints. I fully intend to get back into it, though this time I will be concentrating on mostly 1/48 WWII aircraft, mostly built out of the Box. I learned 20+ years ago that I just don't get anything done if I let my inner detailer/scratchbuilder run free. So since my wife has now seen my old models and likes them for display purposes (and has given permission/orders to purchase a nice display cabinet), I figured I had better comply.

My main interest now is the Pacific war (I now live in one of the battlegrounds - Saipan). I hope to get some models finished in the next few months and share them here - I really like this forum so far, the mods are so exciting.

Cheers!

I am having real problems trying to find the product on their site. Is it Czech or Swedish?? Could you post a link to the product please? :? Smile
