carosel43 Wrote:I have been looking at the gear problem and as already suggested i think the buffalo is a suitable donor as it has the right number of moving parts. it will need alot of tweaking though, the gear will need to be reversed (right gear used on cuda's left side etc) and the solid portion shortened, it will also need a change in angle between it and the oleo section, the oleo section will then need to be twisted through 180 degrees to get the wheel on the outside again, someone said the oleo/wheel/door was spitfire shaped and i agree so mayb graft a spitfire oleo on? that then leaves the little linkages that can be stuck on the wing in the correct place. any questions?!

My photoshop skills know no beginning:

The Storch has a similar architecture to its uprights and horizontals:

The way the rear canopy section of the Barracuda slopes down and merges with the fuselage decking reminds me of the later Ju 87s:

Thank you for your interest.

First part of gear. Do not look at anything else

Looks good, I'll be checking out the game tonight to scavenge some parts Wink we may even have a brainstorming session like earlier if we're lucky Wink

You chaps are great.. This looks like its coming together nicely..

The triangular arm of the landing gear legs might be something one could find on a ship model - but I haven't checked them 'cause I'm not sure those parts can be grafted onto aircraft models (don't see why not?)

Anyway, some other candidates:

What about the torque links of the P-80 or P-63 front nose leg? Could they be enlarged and thickened?

- Ranwers - 22.05.2008

Thanks, but maybe tomorrow, now i got a mess.

- Brophmeister - 23.05.2008

Could it be possible to take an existing object roughly the same shape as the Baracude fuselage, and then place said object inside the fuse and expand it until it fills the holes?

- Carosel43 - 23.05.2008

its just dawned on me i have some 3d design software that can read msh files, if i can get it working i will see if it can also edit them.....
