Grizzly_35thCAG, any chance of those coops being put up for download in the Missions section?
People are always looking for missions that use new maps, planes or ships and stuff and many of us are not good with the mission builder.

there is definitely a solution to get both working, static_AC and SP2.
I have them both and running fine.
as well as armour mod and a bag full of object mods taht go to the same inis.
sort out the places the inis go to, make sure, there is no double anywhere else, like in "files" or so, other tha that, win merge is a great tool.
save a version you know that it works and try it out. for me it ws pretty straight forward copy and paste (and i had to remove SP1 upfront).
I don't know if this is helpful but it is possible to get this to work.

seems like everyone has a different way to fix the shippack2
Edit> I used winmerge and merged the STD subfolders stationary.ini and the technics.ini with those same Ini's found in the Static_AC subfolders. My game fires up now with no problems and the shipack and staionary shipack are in the FMB.
Thank you for the shipack download S`
Edit 2 > I have now been in the FMB playing with the new ships.Everything works awesome, the stationary ships as well as the ones that move are working good and look awesome.Even half sunken ships, to dot the coastlines with.very exquisite( as in: of rare excellence of production or execution, as works of art or workmanship) shippack.
Once again thank you very much.

Hey there everyone!
First of all a big thank you for the efforts put into this game by the modders. Having struggled with fixing the Ship Pack 2 problem, I can all the more appreciate the work necessary on their part to get these beautiful mods to run and the problems they have to solve. As such I am amazed that the mods usually DO work.
Ok, having said this, here is the situation I faced and how I solved it, based in no small part on the advice given on this board. I am just trying to rephrase in a more comprehensive way what I read here and interpreted with some trouble into the correct approach (for my particular, but seemingly not uncommon problem). Here it goes:
I) Starting situation:
Fresh Installation of 1946 with 4.08 patch
added basic mods of the Unified installer
added ShipPack2
added .ini files from the ShipPack2 to MODS\STD\com\maddox\il2\objects (note, I did not have any besides the air.ini there, so a merge was neither possible nor necessary).
II) Initial problem:
Games loads to 70%, then crashes to desktop (sounds familiar if you are reading this thread?)
III) Cause (Assumption on my part and from what I read here)
A conflict with the .ini files in MODS\Static_AC\com\maddox\il2\objects
IV) Solution (Worked for me in this precise case, might not if you are starting from a different installation
Downloaded Winmerge
http://www.winmerge.org/ and installed it
Started Winmerge, opened MODS\Static_AC\com\maddox\il2\objects\technics.ini and
MODS\STD\com\maddox\il2\objects\technics.ini and let the program merge them
into MODS\STD\com\maddox\il2\objects\technics.ini (careful, one exception, do not merge
the difference in the end, the missing ship related entries in the MOD\Static_AC file or it will delete
them).
repeat with the stationary.ini files
At this point, the ini files in STD should have all the entries from those in Static_AC
Check this by searching for the Spit Mk1 or the Beau Mk10 in the STD files
Finally, delete (AFTER BACKING THEM UP!!) the technics.ini and the stationary.ini file in
MODS\Static_AC
Check if this worked by starting IL-2 and checking in the Full Mission Builder if you can see the
Spit Mk1 under View -> Objects -> Stationary Aircraft
I hope this was helpful and if anyone of the more experienced user can give additional insights or correct anything I said, please do so, this was mostly the result of trial and error.

FC .... could you please explain how i would go about using one of the spare slots
If i wanted to use the Ship0 slot for a clone of the IJNCVGeneric and rename it Kaga.....how would I do it?
what entries would be needed in the chiefs.ini/stationary.ini/ships.ini ...and anywhere else?

Make copy of everything related to IJNCVGeneric, in 3d, ships.ini and chief.ini. Change everywhere IJNCVGeneric to Ship0. Than go to i18n/Ship.ini and add line
IJNKagaCV 3do/Ships/Ship0/Hier.him 2

Hi all, I finally tamed this beast! Great mod but oh-boy what a tough install. Used Azrael's methode but also first merged the FC original ini files with the ones from the map Add to Ini and only after that with the ones from static aircraft. And do not forget to rename technics.properties in technics_ru.properties.

[quote="Charlie Chap"][quote]so maybe is conflict with tank mod ini
