... a very big AND nice piece of news, Tiger has just posted this at SAS:

"it will be available without restrictions.
A new version was written to be Stand Alone
The UV2 buttons is required and that's all.
Now in beta test"

and also :

"Oh and also bombs bay door 2.5 is necessary for new sounds like wingfold,hook,spit14 side door,Airbrake rumble,bay door.

But be patient the readme will explain so that everything is functional.

Gents, what are the UV2 buttons file? and what mod is there for an openable door on the spit?

Ok, sorry for my ignorance As far as I am aware links are fine. I'm a bit sceptical about install other buttons files though; what are the chances that it'll muck up my install?

... the chances are big, but provided you back-up the "good" buttons (the one you currently use) then you risk nothing trying another one ....

I believe Master Tiger is beta testing his incredible Ultimate sound mod V2 and I trust him for releasing it only if it works and doesn't jeopardize Mr So&So's install, but as we all know now there are so many different installs and packs (and no packs) and read-me non readers out there ....

Ok that jst killed my hopes of ever installing this beautifull sounds with all due respect i'm not dowloading and installing SAS MODS. I'm no PC wizzard and things get to complicated for me.

well i at least i had a dream of awsome sounds for 2 days.

On the contrary, hope is NOW there that we will be able to use his mod even as a stand alone one, the only requirement will be to use the buttons that comes with it.

As far as I understood it all well, the mod now calls for the java class files of each AC, the advantages beeing among others, no more "sonar" effects (you'll really have to check your six now as you won't be able to hear an AC coming from behind you now, nor will you hear explosions at say 5 miles from where you are etc ....)
