doh!, i meant all.ini.

I only said it because i've had to recopy the entries in, as when i installed maps after i must of overwritten the entries. I've since rentered the details and map loads fine, just have two entries in the FMB?

As fly_zo has said the map terrain covers the whole area, but it is only properly populated with objects in the southeast area. There are some objects and airfields in the remaining area but these still need a lot of work and have many errors to correct.

Not much progress at the moment on Part 2 because of other commitments. I'm in the process of reinstalling the game on a new hardware setup. Installed up to 4.08 unmodded so far and can turn on all the Perfect mode graphics for the first time. Wow! its a new game. -- Where did all the trees come from?

Hope people are enjoying the Part 1 release.

Why on your map there are no trees in cities? (in the mode of forest=3) Texture the same what on the map of Slovakia, however, there are trees in Slovakians cities, but in your France1940 - it is not. What is a secret in?

I have no idea.

Up until now I have only been able to see the game in "Excellent" mode, so I could never see all the nice extra trees on the map which you see in some screenshots by others.

I am now upgrading to "Perfect" mode so maybe I can sort out these things more easily.

It maybe to do with the texture reference on the load.ini file

Also in the Slovakia map there are a lot of tree objects added in cities. I have had to take these out to keep a reasonable object count. For the same reason I have not used fences and walls very much.

- canonuk - 22.08.2008

That's why they don't appear - you've removed them Smile

The texture itself doesn't have auto-generated trees. Forest=3 just turns the rows of trees into nice 'auto' trees but since they've been removed the FPS reasons, the towns don't have auto trees.

How come only 2 bases in england are usable?

- II./JG27_Rich - 01.09.2008

I think I've been screwing these maps up all along by not installing them right. None of them seem to have many buildings around or ground objects at all.

Part 1 of the map only has the southeast quarter complete (to beta). The fragments of scenery in England are not complete and the airfields in England still need a lot of work. Part 1 covers east of Cambrai and south of Nivelles.

Part 2 will extend the scenery coverage up to the northern map edge.

Part 3 will extend west to the channel including England.

I have no fixed timescale for this. Part 2 is being worked on now as time allows.

There is a lot of historical mission building potential in the southeast quarter. After all this was where the main breakthrough occurred. How about an Hs123 mission, to stop the French light armoured thrust at Arras on 22nd May, or attacks on the Sedan bridgehead, or recce flights over the Ardennes to identify the Panzer columns? Like I say, lots to do in Part 1.

Ah..I see. Thank you for the answer.

I'm also getting the '2D Map Not Found' like Itachi when loading in FMB. I added the line

Battle_of_France_1940 ash_BoF/ash_load.ini

to the ini file but still no joy. Got Canon's Channel map working OK. AM I missing something (obvious( here? Smile

- asheshouse - 15.09.2008

Blue 5

I can't see anything obvious that is wrong.

This entry goes in all.ini in MODS/MAPMODS/maps

Is the directory MODS/MAPMODS/maps/ash_BoF set up correctly?

Are all the files named in ash_load.ini in the directory?

Do your other maps work ok?
