First of all I would like to thanks Gaston for his mod and I appreciate a lot all the work that went into it.
I would definetly agree to use the ISO or IANA (Internet) two letter country code system. The UN also has an official two letters country code system that is largely similar to the ISO one. Using a standardized coding systems would avoid problems with different modders using different codes has happened in the recent past were Republican Spain was coded ER in one and ES in Gaston. Naturally we will have to live with the original coding system for the countries included in non modded IL-2 but at list new addition will not cause problems

Gaston,

here is a request to add Austria as a new nation for next version.

- caldrail - 13.03.2009

Since my last post on this thread has mysteriously disappeared, I'll try again.

Great to see progress on different markings for Il2. I have small issue with it though. The norwegian roundel was used later on. The Norwegian Army Air Service used a red square with vertical white/blue/white stripes from 1915 to 1944.

It just seems to me to be more relevant to the sim so please consider an update?

caldrail... maybe you should post this information in this thread :

viewtopic.php?t=13102

this is Sanka's thread about markings.

- caldrail - 14.03.2009

Actually.. I did, sort of...

Hello Gaston. Your mod is fantastic. i really like it. But i also wanted to have new nations, but i didn't know how i can make it on my own. can you may make a tutorial, how to add new nations??

3dwa21

- Gaston - 14.03.2009

hi, 3dw21... it is not that I want to keep a secret, but I think it is better to have it centralized on one person for new nations, etc... if everyon does it in its room, there will be anything, but no compatibility, so better ask what nations you wish to have, and if it is quite historically correct, I will add it.

Actually, after having extended to Gran Chaco War, Mid-East and Spanish Civil War in past versions, I extend to Korea War with China and North Korea on blue side, and South Korea on red side.

I have some hesitations about Austria, because it did not fight under its own colours, so I do not really see historical accuracy...

- 3dwa21 - 14.03.2009

Yes. I would really like austria at the game. but I also wanted to add som unrealistik nations to the game like: The Galaktik Empire, or the Rebellion from Star Wars.

- Trooper117 - 14.03.2009

That was a wind up right?? Confusedhock:

- 3dwa21 - 14.03.2009

srry. but what means wind up? you maybe don't know, but i'm from austria, so i dont understan everything.

- caldrail - 15.03.2009

According to Wikipedia, the austrian symbol was the same as the german anyway. They give a WW1 style cross in use from 1927.

- vampire_pilot - 15.03.2009

okay...

uhm, Gaston, you hesitated about Austria but integrated GDR/DDR? yeah, this has some logic to me.... please reconsider Smile

again here is a request for Austria!

Actually in the 1934 Nazi-murdering of Chancellor Dollfu

Hi Gaston - crazydog - 17.03.2009

I use your MOD and it's really good! Big Grin
Thank you for adding China in the game.
I know the air force of China is very puniness at that time, but it exist and try it's best during the war.
what I want to ask you is:
1.If I make some voice in Chinese ,put it in the samples/speech folder, can I hear it when I fly in a single mission of China?
If it works,I want to make a Chinese voice pack. 8)
2.Can you also add The People's Republic of China in this game? I notice that sanka make a marking for it:
