Well in this business "roughly" won't cut it, you must be exactly on your speed and altitude in order for your bombs to be accurate. Even changing only a few mph of airspeed will affect it by one or more degrees.

Hey A-10 Salute

I noticed ever since the mod when I am high alt bombing. I have to keep hitting adjust sight mode auto to keep my cross hairs in the target zone. If I let the bombsight track I will bomb long or short even with correct speed and altitude. I was wondering if there is a fix for this or some secret way to do it without having to constantly correct. I manage to hit my target though.

Thanks

Yes there is, although it's not much of a secret. It's called manual high level bombing, everything is explained here---> (The link is inoperative)

When I was a noob I used bombsight automation simply because I didn't know any better and i had the same problems you do. Another problem with bombsight automation is it dumps all your bombs on the first drop. Now I don't know how familiar you are with targets on dogfight servers but usually we like to drop just one or two racks of bombs each pass over target to maximize kills. I mean after all it took a good 20-30 minutes to get into formation and climb to 25,000 feet, no sense in making just one pass, wasting 3/4 of the bombs and going home.

Anyways read the manual and PM me with any questions you have, if you would like to fly with us for a few missions so we can further explain the bombing deal your welcome, I will PM you our ts IP.

I am not calling you a noob by the way, I've seen you and the crew do a lot of bombing, your just stuck in an ancient bombing mode haha. My philosophy when it comes to flying is you can never learn to much to read up brotha!

I'm a damn good heavy bomber pilot, and I can stick a bomb load right down the length of a carrier from 25,000ft. I'm here to ask if I can help out as an instructor in the course. Can I?

Sure knock yourself out, it's very tiring.

New manual released, it's been out for a few weeks just in case you guys didn't get it yet viewtopic.php?t=10172&highlight=hvy it's pretty watered down and simplified so everyone can understand it.

Hello, I see there are more people interested in bombers, so I would like to show you this thread because there were a few replies only and want to know more opinions about.

Maybe you haven't seen it before, but I'm sure it's a issue which concerns to us all.

Thanks
