GREAT MOD!

It gives a whole new look to the game and doesn't seem to affect (at least my) framerates.
As said earlier, one of the nicer mods to come down the pike in a while. Every bit as good as your original clouds.
Incredibly easy to install too.

I am permanently bumpified.

Aiii! One of the must-haves actually.8)
But please, Flushy could you have look at the Alpen.zip map at Munich-Riem airfield? The meadows around are crowded with zillions of that crazy whit-red towels drying.
And it's such a nice map around the well received Heinz-Bar-campaign.

Thx,

Pongie

I think this mod is a great idea, but I had some problems with (as far as I know) with the Darwin Strait map. Close to the airfield everywhere is full of those wite/purple boxes, as shown above.

I would like to unistall the mod.

Any unistaller or special directions?

We sure would appreciate uninstallers for beta mods. Thank you.

There are instructions to correct the white/purple boxes in this thread:

FlushMeister Wrote:when it comes to the tree pink error, please delete the "tree_01_16a.tga and 64 and 256 tga's in your "Flushys airfield textures/3do/tree"

they are jsut test textures that I forgot to remove, Smile i'm sorry bout this, good thing I released a beta lol!

If you still after that want to remove the mod, just delete the folders you installed into the mods directory or disable the mod by adding a minus-sign in the beginning of the folder names.

I'm running it at both perfect and excellent settings and getting blue blotches all over where either clouds are shading the ground or the area is darker. What the hell?

Stupid question here. If I have VPMedia's mapmod installed, will Flushy's mod still show up?

- Boris The Spider - 10.03.2009

Works for me. Both mods installed, no problems.

One noobie question...I have vpmedia Default Map Upgrade pack 2.7 installed.
Is there a way to run this mod and vpmedia

Question---(hope I posted in the right place)

The underlying .tga files for the forest, "forestGR" and "ForestGrS" found in C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\MODS\fb_maps\maps\_tex\forest\summer seem to be too dark to me. In fact they look much darker than what is shown in the first screenshots of this thread. It's gives a very dark and, to my eye, unrealistic edge to the Woods textures. Here's what I mean;

I tried changing the brightness of the .tgas in PSP8 but it changed the filesize and I got 'Landscape loading error' on every map.

How can I change these .tga's and keep them the proper file size? (or is there a thread I should be reading?)

Thanks in advance for any help.

I too also. Some of the forestation i is blue. But turns to green when you approach. Tends to look like water fom a distance?
