RealDarko Wrote:Redko, any chance to use the textures you created for Oki, Iwo and Kyushu for the B29 Alley map?
Yes ! why not?
Never played this map so i have to take a look to it. I'm busy with others maps now including your personnal request but of course it's possible

That will be fantastic!! Is a very useful map, you can take off from Ie Shima to attack Kyushu, or escort B-29 in a Mustang taking off from Iwo Jima. A really useful map, with your textures will be a lot better

Redko, I've been experimenting with your city textures to give it a less modern look, if you like I can send you the TGA's.
Thanx for your map anyway, you gave me a good excuse to play a pacific map after a long time.

Hummm..... :???: This is NOT a configuration for players....and laptops aren't for games anyway even if constructors certify sometimes laptops for game, this is bullshits. For the same price you payed for your laptop you could find a desktop ready for this game. Not at monster baut a pc where you could playe in really good conditions.
My selfmade desktop costed in global 600 euros/dollars but you pay this just one time : you can make the components evolve and this is what you can't do with your laptop. Here is my configuration:
motherboard Asus p5b
Cpu intel quad q9650
CG geforce 8800 gt 512mb
3gigas ram
Change man

Nice mate.
Where did you find these textures in google earth? PM me a link for download i will take a look at this. Maybe i could integrate it for OkinawaV2 as i know from the begining i will the to put better cities textures....and also ground ones. I will use some KyushuV1 which i'm experimenting for OkinawaV2.
I'm very busy with 3 others maps now.

PM sent Redko.
Found the textures as you said in Google Earth. I searched in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China but found some appropiate ones in Malaysia and Singapore.
If you don't wanna use these textures no problemo. It was just a little test I did for myself.

Quote:just one question : any idea what's causing this ?
This is just because you play in "excellent" mode for landscape (instead of "perfect") and Redko didn't create a new map-F.tga file, so the game loaded the default one.

Yep, I know I should buy a rig, but not in the proper financial situation at the moment

redko - just a quick tip - if you download this campaign
http://www.mission4today.com/index.php? ... ails&id=41 (it uses LAL_Rone's map) you will see in the FMB where I modelled all the Japanese defensive positions (including Shuri Castle) as accurately as I could from this source amongst others:
http://www.ibiblio.org/hyperwar/USA/USA ... index.html
If you keep the areas where the positions are modelled as rocky and ridge-like (and not on fertile land or forest) then your map will have greater historical accuracy. Thanks for your beautiful work so far, by the way.
(if you can't get the download and just want the template, pm me and I'll send it to you)

This is an interresting this because since i finished this map i realised that.......i have nothing to play with    . I will make my own missions/campains as i'm collecting some historical data for it, but it's with pleasure i will take a look to this link !
So of course, if needed i will put some changes for Okinawa V2 to integrate some historical places as requested by some here, in particular a veterant. In this optic, i was thinking for V2 to integrate some temples and bildings.....BUT it would be GREAT if some one here could take a little time to repaints some stock japanese bildings or create new ones, like Lal_Rone hangar mode for exemple. This could greatly improove this map, will all the modifications i will bring with Okinawa V2
