Can I hint one suggestion though?
I think if you use Wood2 = forest/summer/rom_ForrestFar.tga,-2 in the load.ini, the forests will blend in better at further ranges..
Keep up the good work!
Eagerly awaiting this beauty; it open up some new campaigns I was unwilling to play because of the poor stock map.. 8)

That's the P2 Neptune. I was flying that just as a recon flight when I first installed Iwo and it looked pretty good. It ended up to be what I thought was signature worthy.

UPDATE decembre 5 - end approaching
I'm on the final part now, some 2-3 to improve and finally release :wink: . I'm putting some fields texture on the mountains, as many cultures in the world use volcanic ashes for agriculture. I think i found how to show a logic into my landscapes, I mean they appear to be the result of a natural evolution or a human activity in nature....so it's realistic.
When you are flying you can really feel that you are over at part of the world. I did my new cities textures too.
Here you have some last pics before release. I used white and black rendering because it shows if all this looks natural or not (it's good test for you map makers....) ....and because i have the intention to make some movies in Hero/Jafaem style. That's also why i'm interested on repainting some Korea map's as i think they are the ideal candidates for movie makers.

The Valley - This is a region in the middle of the map, there is a very nice valley between mountains. I added agriculture textures on the river sides.

. There you can see a mix between the very first Kyushu texture and the new ones, they are integrated to avoid repetition effect.

I hope to release a one more nice map for the community, i know some are wainting for it...nice skins and exciting missions are ready...we just need the map now.

Redko, this is really looking beautiful. I have one small concern: won't the very strong shadows on mountainous terrain conflict with the in-game lighting?
What if the sun is low in the sky on the same side as the deep shadows (rather than opposite). How does it look?

" good question. i will have to make a test. i played some mission at different ours and of course shadows are in the same place for these mountains textures but i didn't notice any strange effect. in flight you don't pay attention to that
