Agreed!

And with that said, you shouldn't mind me doing a full up test of how your F86/MiG compares to a real F86/MiG. The plan is to show the % error between the ingame data and the real world data. This will be two fold, one, generate the IL2Compare files, two, actual ingame flight testing using a 3rd party autopilot. Reason being, IL2Compare files are not allways 100% accurate. Hence the two methods. Each of which will provide a graph of the rate of climb and top speed per altitude along with a % error graph.

Than based on those results the players can choose which version they want to use.

With that said..

Assuming I am starting with a clean version of 4.08m or 4.09m. Can you provide me a link to all the mods I will need to install your mod.

first, update the bombs doors mod that is installed on your PC - the F84 (and the Do335 as well) interacts with this mod. Then you need to "open" the virtual unseen "bombs door" before trying to drop your bombs - not doing so will freeze the game

if the FM folder is disabled the bombing doesn't crash the game...

....if you forget to open the bomb doors it should just not drop the bombs....to freeze the game is unacceptable.

Yes, it brings a bit of problem with the bomb bay doors mod... maybe we can hope in a fix? :?

.... hope is the essence of life (and mods too Big Grin )

I know Freddy has just been fixing a thing or two, here and there, I wouldn't be much surprised if he released an update "soon " ....

He made it clear right from the the start that the Korea mod would always be a WIP, since he intends to constantly improve it, he is currently working on the F80 pit, then the Mig15 etc ....

EDIT :.. the update with all bugs fixed could even come with an unexpected bonus .... Big Grin

omg I just want the F-86C can any one tell me how to do that?!?!?!?!?

- European Snake - 21.11.2009

A few things, I'm sure one of them is easily fixed.

First off... I downloaded the new buttons file and now when I'm at the select a plane screen, if I select either of the Sabers nothing shows up in the window.

Second off, the rudder of the F-80C moves contradictory to the control inputs. The plane reacts properly to say a right rudder input, but the rudder turns left.

Freddy says he's never seen that bug, not even other users have ever reported it .... Confusedhock:

Great, just my luck to be the only person to get a bug. I'll get a screen shot of it later today.

See how the rudder is deflecting right, but the plane is yawing left(look at the smoke trail in relation to the plane). I made a left rudder twist.

I fixed the Sabers by re downloading and reinstalling the mod, but the F-80C is still having the rudder problem. Can you all check your F-80C rudders? Thanks

Oh, my friend says he's having trouble with the install, and he thinks a simpler readme or auto installer(exe) would be very helpful.

Freddy's Korea mod update is due tomorrow, here is what Freddy wrote today:

"The update for Korea will be released today for my team and probably tomorrow for other people ...

Has anyone been able to install this in UP 1.8? I have the items downloaded and I have a vanilla version of 1.8 waiting to install..but what about JSGME? Do you disable that and enable the regular MOD folder?

Can someone give a walk through on how to install it for UP 1.8?

Oh, BTW, I didn't put the Avion Statiques in my mods folder the first time I installed it but it worked. I started having problems when I put the updated buttons in to fix the Null loading problems with the F-80C

- JG14_Jagr - 23.11.2009

Thanks FZ...worked ok. What a great looking cockpit.. Wink

Well that is good news if that means he tweaked the FMs to better match/conform to the real world data performance..

And

But bad news if it means he flew a few more one on one df missions with his buds and determined they, in their MiGs, are still shooting him down too often in his F86 and thus he increased the power of the F86 some more..

Which is the problem with any/all FMs that are based on personal preferences instead of real world data.

... Freddy flew a Mig 15 yesterday night .... he ain't that dumb as to always fly the same AC .... Big Grin

If you knew how fussy he is about historical detail you'd be afraid ...

A few minor bugs surfaced yesterday night during squad tests, so a little delay is to be expected before public release ....

Freddy was still posting at 3.58 a.m at Histomod this morning and fixing bugs ....
