Sorry I should have said that Parap is there just as an example of aircraft initial placement on the runway when the mission starts - in other words the planes crash there because its really too short for aircraft to take off to the north. IE no bug for Parap the issue is at Darwin.
Mind you if you wanted to help Parap be more usable you could clear the trees at the northern end of the strip for a bit so that planes have more room assuming that sort of thing fits into the scope of the revision you are doing.

Made both airfields more friendly for heavier aircraft, taking off in both directions. Had a look at RAAF Darwins airfield structure and nothing is amiss there. They also lineup ok at both ends, on both fields.

Very weird Neil. Using the mission I posted up before both Lowengrin and myself see the aircraft appear much further down the runway at Darwin. The back plane is about level with the big concrete central apron and the front one is around halfway. If they take off to the south they just clear the trees but if you go north the first five crash in the trees and the last three make it because the length of runway is too short for the 1st five. Basically I could never get aircraft to line up as your picture shows. Totally confused.... but it must be something fundamental because my install has the issue in FMB and DCG and Lowengrin's over in Nth America or Canada has the same problem. Did you set the mission up using the unlocked FMB? or the standard one?
It may not matter now you've gone tree cutting but anyway I'll try to post a picture of the start position I get when I run the mission posted before.

Very weird
Kinda looks bare now though compared to the very few pics there are of the bases. Considering they flew most bomber missions from Fenton and that it's not included on this map, this works out to a reasonable compromise.
P.s Standard FMB

Ok finally got a pic uploaded, this is the sort of thing we got no matter which end we picked for the takeoff waypoint. As you can see a very different start point than yours.

Yep, very different.
I'll finish up some things in the next couple of days and I'll get some files to you.

Just a bit of news, Lowengrin and I believe we have the bugs out of the campaign and he is going to host it up this weekend. So it should be available soon enough for you to have a bit of Easter Monday fun
wives and children and Easter Eggs and real life permitting. Hope you enjoy it.

Neil - just a quick request if it hasn't already been mentioned. Please could you set the static aircraft to PTO instead of ETO. I'm using this map as part of a C-47 campaign (I kid you not), and the static Daks are mounting D-Day stripes.
Thanks.

No worries Phil, This is done in V1.1

Neil I saw in the other thread you were playing around with cliff remodelling - does that mean you might have changed your mind about a few alterations to the coastline & town etc for v1.1 or you saving that up for another larger version still ?
By the way, I'm part way through testing an update to my Darwin DCG campaign. Fixing a couple of bugs and changing the balance a little and adding Vanir's new P40s ready for him putting out the release version.

Still testing that idea, a few pitfalls with it that should be able to be overcome but as there are more pressing addititions to the map (new objects etc) I'll prolly look at that again a bit later.
