Hi Neil!

Many thanks for the update,
tested it and saving is OK.

But got a Problem: "Darwin Defenders" Campaign wont work
because a error-message "..String out of index1 .." or
"..index out of String1 ..", I don't remember exactly.

My solution: gave the new Darwin 1.1 Folder the name
"NTL_Darwin_Small_1-1", restored the Darwin Map 1.0 Folder
with name "NTL_Darwin_Small" and made two entries in the all.ini:
Darwin NTL_Darwin_Small/NTL_Darwin_Small_load.ini
Darwin_1-1 NTL_Darwin_Small_1-1/NTL_Darwin_Small_load.ini

Now campaign works.

Thank you very much Neil Big Grin

G'day Neil,

Thanks for the update.

Will this new update affect any missions made on your previous map versions so they won't work anymore?

I shouldn't think there would be too much to cause a mission not to work, or that it would be very hard to remedy a problem. Only very minor changes made to road/rail and airfields in this version. Smile

Nice work Neil. One of my favourite maps.

Hi Neil, i have flown several of my missions made on the older map and i haven't had any problems so far, so it looks all good from here. Thanks.

Hehe fooled me.....How did I miss this update?? It's works fault for sure. I'll download it and start checking my DCG campaign for issues. Was there many changes to roads and railway etc Neil?

Cheers,
Stonehouse

Hiya,

This is pretty much the same build I sent you when you had issues when building your campaign. So I should imagine it should be ok Wink

Neil!

Two persons have reported to me that the "Darwin Defenders" campaign doesn't function on the new version of your excellent map. See this thread: viewtopic.php?t=11083&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=

Can this be so? And if so, is there a pretty easy fix? (I would just hate to redo the whole campaign...) Cry

Responded in that thread Wink

Firstly thank you Neil for all the work you have put into this map, all those screen shots of Darwin look excellent. Can't wait to get this up and running as I have wanted a far north Queensland and Northern Territory map for close to 7 years now. Not sure what I have done wrong but it will not load the Darwin campaign created by Stonehouse.

This is the first mod I have installed, the installer placed it in the il2fb main folder P:\Program Files\Ubisoft\il-2 Sturmovik 1946\MODS\MAPMODS\maps\ with 2 folders \_tex and \NTL_Darwin_Small and a file all.ini

When I generate the DCG campaign in il-2, there is no map showing in the "fly" screen menu and when I click the fly button "Mission loading failed: Landscape "NTL_Darwin_Small/NTL_Darwin_Small_load.ini" loading error, pops up.
Is there something else I need to do or install apart from the map and the DCG campaign?

I have read the installation instructions and to the best of my understanding have followed them, what am I missing or doing wrong? Any/all help is much appreciated.
EDIT:/

Hiya Manic,

Darwin will only run under a mod enabled version of IL2 1946 v4.09. What version of the sound mod are you using?

Does the map open ok in the FMB?

We shouldn't have too much trouble getting you up and running. Wink

That was a very quick reply Neil thank you. As far as I know I don't have any mod except your Darwin map and the DCG Darwin campain.

Sorry, no it won't load in the QMB or the FMB, it doesn't list as a loadable map in the FMB if that's of any help.

Ah ok,

To be able to use any of the new maps available or any of the mods in fact, you'll have to have some sort of mods enabler installed first.

My advice is to use the Unified Installer found on this site and follow the install instructions.

Darwin V1.0 is included with that. After you get the UI installed and working you can then install Darwin V1.1 and you'll be good to go. Smile

Link for Unified installer -----> viewforum.php?f=58

Link for a great guide on modding your install ------> (The link is inoperative)

A bit daunting at first but very much worth the effort. Plenty of helpful people and info around here if you get stuck Smile

Oh, it's a tad more involved than I realised. I'll read those links you've provided, I had started downloading the AAA community installer earlier this evening (without realising that I needed it to get your mod working) but on 256kb adsl only part 1 and 2 have completed so far. So back to downloading the rest of those files, and once again thank you for your patience and help and looking forward to loading your map Smile
