Thanks for the friendly comments, gentlemen!
I am sure Freddy will be pleased to read it..
Please keep in mind the jet shots are of a very early Beta (3D model finished, cockpit WIP, FM WIP) and not for the soon upcoming next Histomod (which will be nice nevertheless and much easier to handle reg. files). I think this year will be very interisting .
Best regards
Tom

Nothing spectacular, but keep the map in mind:
It is a version of VKG's Grand Canyon map, also available here, modded by Uufflakke, Mr Lejo over here.
http://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/t ... 668.0.html
I made some slight changes and one bigger change and took some textures I did not like out and replaced them with repainted redko textures.
At this point my thanks to VGK, Uufflakke and redko!
The map is now, along with some other very decent new maps like e.g. cyberolas Crimea repaint, stock in Histo.
Shots are not too spectacular, testing the new default F-86A cockpit.
The Avon Sabre now also have a dedicated cockpit slightly more blueish, the Candair Sabres now have the F-86F cockpit colours, all cockpits except the F-86As now have new reticles..and the missing left panel is in now. Etc...

Salut, Ted! Mir geht es gut! Et toi?
I was recently told I apologize too often, so I will do it here a final time for posting
too many screens and mostly Post WWII.
The new Histo has many improvements for 2nd WW planes and focussed on those. Changes for PostWar planes are in as well, for Sabres most notably the new jet smoke in 3D and the newly assigned cockpit colours..
Also it introduces the seperation of eras, so you can shoose either WWII or PostWar (which also contains propeller planes)-
Since I mainly love jets and maps, I show a little after action report here with dozens (2 to be exact) of screens.
The first map (I did forget it ain't stock) is redko's Kyushu,....
http://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/t ... 428.0.html
(..first post..)
...in a slightly modded version by Uufflakke, the 2nd map is
Barents'sea aka MiSp Zapolar'e. I only edited my personal water colour wish after some searching. This map is stock in Histomod WWII.
If anyone has questions on how to use custom maps on top of the current Histo, feel free to pm or post, here or at Histomod.
I'm am not a modder but I do know which maps work with Histo and 4.09m...also make sure to try the new Histomod WWII map:
LYBIA_1941_1943
Try at 17.00 a mission around Tobruk, map by MANYSH. Looks awesome!
Or Benghalli by Avala, like Grand Canyon now with waterfalls. My favourite US map is Puerto Rico by CzechTexan..which is now also in Histomod.
OK, shots.. ;dd
Little Trainig flight in East Asa turned out to be an interception of rogue Korean jets...(PS: Korea maps are also updated to latest standard)...
The bad boys
Check six before closing in as ground control guides me (Check manual for new ground control mods (by CY6)
Look and lock!
Good hit, tanks off!
And...
No2
....
And now to something completely different...a NATO flight in fancy colours set ca. 1955
Barents Sea...
A surprised Lt. Tom was told that he had to risk his new Demo skin by Puma for an unexpected Scramble!
These guys were inbound, somewhere Democratic Republic of Germany's Mig-17s had gone rogue during a Warsaw Pact exercise..
What started good..
..went bad quickly, as ground control had a day off during that airshow day and visual ID showed targets way off east..but they were not..
Wingy was hit, I tried to escape and reform..
Too late..while this happened, I was able to fire away two Sidewinders just the second!
Needless to say I was pretty upset lol..
I think this was the bad guy..
Bad day, only hope was tea wasn't yet served at my homebase..
Next time better...!
I try to pusuade lebig regarding the former skin and pilot packs, but e.g. the Tiger skins are here..
http://histomodforum.forumactif.org/f7-paintschemes
http://histomodforum.forumactif.org/f20-post-war
IMHO also the pilot skins need to be uploaded, if in doubt, I have them.

..Of course there are other changes for the PostWar jets and props as well. Canopies will now close immediately when starting inflight and many high performance propeller fighters have engine smoke, which looks great. Many birds have fixed wheels and 3D models and fast props like F-51Ds (Freddy cockpit for those) and LA-9s are really fun.
Cheers

Gents, sad to see most/many of my shots seem to have fallen victim to a photobucket cleanup process.
My excuses for the ugly gaps. Feel free to delete, I saw some are yet still on so it is not that badass.
Hope lebig eg will add some new shots here one day for the HistoMod V.6. WIP version.
Regards
Tom
PS.. Greets JP, Good Luck with RL and Histo..
