Skin Question for Avenger - Wrench11Bravo - 04.11.2007

My squad is a U.S. Navy squad and our bomber guys want to fly that avenger something bad. We have a mod skin for the TBM and it works fine on the MKIII with one problem. We have to fly with markings off to keep that blue star off of the airplanes, but we lose the plane number in the process and when we fly coops with our rival squad we have to have markings on. Now when the skin is on the TBM I can turn the markings on and the painted U.S. markings apear no problem, but I just cannot get away from that damn blue star on the MKIII.

Thanks for any help guys...

A bump from one of Wrench's bomber guys  This problem will go away completely once the mod is done for the other US Avengers - TBFs and TBMs.

that 'damn blue star' can be replaced if you're using IL-2 Mat Manager (acesartwork.airwarfare.com iirc)

for example I made several replacement markings which use the same surface subtexture as my skins, the result is a marking which almost looks like painted on, only problem that the edges cannot be antialiased so its a bit more crispy than it should
