More realist than 092 merlin sound?

- Lt.Wolf - 05.11.2007

not too sure on the start up sound, maybe needs to be longer, but they sound great, i am 50/50 between using my current 0.9 or this. i think merlins i 92 are same as 90, havent tried them all.

the sounds are recorded to hot. look at them on a scope. the sound wave clips.

it's the same effect as when you buddy has swallowed his mic on TS. it's over driven and all you hear is the distortion.

any one elses thoughts on this Fly!'s Merlins Sounds?

- fabianfred - 06.11.2007

well it's a simple matter to test any of these new sounds against the old ones

I use the useful utility "Bulk Rename Utility"....to add a suffix .fly to the sounds...then put them in the samples folder and open the new and old to listen to each...choose the one i like and if it is the new one just delete the suffix in the filename

Nice--for spitfire also? - Trogdor - 11.11.2007

I was wondering about the spitfire and hurricane sounds. They are a real improvement, but I was listening to the Japanese CGI (?) high quality animation AVI file of the spitfires and Mosqs. Those sounds were amazing. Thanks for upgrading the P51!
