A humble MOD Request - shakthamac - 08.11.2007
i spend most of my time in the FMB with this game making missions to play. I would like to see regular objects be given the ability to move in the vertical or Z-axis. I would also like to be able to place static objects, aircraft, etc in the FMB and be allowed to move them in the z axis.
Thanks
edit: oops, redundant

Interesting idea.
Would make it possible to create a few more buildings via stacking.

That humble request of yours is not humble at all
I haven't got any clue about how this can be done up to now, although I was keeping an eye open since i started looking into those files. The thing I know: changing a certain file you can have items from "objects" menu appearing at a fixed non-zero height. Say if you change that file, all trees will be lifted in the air with the amount specified in the file. But that's not what we want.

What variable do the smoke clouds have that the rest do not.

yeah, i was just thinking that there has to be some type of file that correlates to how lights and smoke work, since you can move them in the z axis. and of course, in my perfect little world all you have to do is cut and paste that info into the other ones
good to see you here tater. try anything yet?
